I went to high school with her, she was in my 2nd year Spanish class. I didn't know her but she was quiet, smart, soft spoken, and looked way different than she did on ER. The way she looked in Stand and Deliver was exactly how she looked in high school, right down to the glasses and barrettes. So sad that she suffered like this, and how disgusting of her family to cash in like they did.
Did she seem to have any issues / problems then? I have family that developed mental conditions in 12th grade or after graduating high school, so it seems a lot of mental conditions appear at the end of teenage years. I guess hormonal changes in the brain as we hit our late teens?
You can’t help somebody who doesn’t want to help themselves. I’ve been to Physciattic facilities more than I’d like to admit. It’s traumatizing to end up in a place where people are literally crazy. Luckily i spent most of the time in a dual diagnosis unit but I’ve spent time in the actual crazy side of mental health treatment where people are banging on door screaming 24/7. I just got out literally 2 weeks ago after I was sectioned to go by the hospital but I signed a notice that they’d have to let me out within 72 hours or get the courts involved. Luckily I’m of sound kind and can advocate and make decisions for myself and have a home I can go to.

People keep asking this and it's honestly an unfair question. I've lived like this in the past. But when I answered the phone or had to leave the house for some reason, you would probably never have guessed. She'd had horrible experiences seeking mental health treatment before, so wanting help was off the table. Which meant going it either with family or alone. And if she chose to go it alone, which many do, it's actually not that hard to clean up for a day or an hour when you need to in order to convince people you're doing better than you are. People assume the fact a welfare check was called means she was in there day and night for weeks, but I actually haven't seen any explanation for why it was called. It doesn't take that long to fuck up an apartment anyway. I've done it in less than a week on numerous occasions.

As evidenced by what? She was in and out of mental healthcare for years. People in that condition frequently hide their issues when around loved ones or on the phone. Those closest to them never fully know if they're on the verge of a lapse or already deep into one. Everyone seems to have this idea that they should have known or been up her ass 24/7. It doesn't work that way. We all know someone with mental health issues, and most of us aren't performing daily or even weekly check-ins on them. Those psychiatric wards in ER hospitals are terrifying and poorly run. You are treated like a prisoner and as someone that is potentially dangerous. Police have demonstrated over and over that they have no ability to judge someone's mental state. In the wards, staff will definitely mentally and emotionally abuse you whenever they feel like it. She made it very clear that she wanted no one else to see her but here we are, the police turn up to film her when she wanted nothing to do with them or others then informs her that they will kidnap her and give her medical procedures that she does not want when she self defends herself against the imprisonment they assasinate her when they could have just let her be as she wanted. I know how it feels to be forced into a mental hospital against your will. The hospital was a real life “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” nightmare. It’s located in Indianapolis, IN, and my head is more f@cked up now than It was when I went in. That “hospital” had more violations than I was able to keep track of. What Vanessa did was obviously wrong. But if she knew from previous experience how bad it was going to be, she probably was scared for her life 🥲

Actually there is Focal Seizures. Which only effect small portions of the patients brain. Usually they can talk, but they still shake and are very confused and even combative. Makes perfect sense. If she has a history of Tonic-Clonic Seizures, then yes this was entirely fake, or if it was her first seizure then theres no way she would know thats what it was given the state of confusion in the brain.
Why didn't the health care providers.... notice that? (I do agree ...no one talks during a seizure!). I think she seemed okay... and, just wanted to be left alone.
Professional actress and probably a narcissist. She was suicidal, but wanted the police to do it for her, and her family hoped to make some money by falsely suing the police.

I watched her on Intervention and she had social anxiety which is extremely painful and not like just being shy because I've went through it since a child. Basically a fear of people. She developed a shopping addiction also to compensate. That probably led to a depression in her. So when the cops say they're going to take her to a mental facility she was probably like I'm not about to be around all these random people I don't know 24/7 which she knew would trigger her anxiety. So she decided to end it all. Mental health is like being on the 6th floor of burning building. You don't want to jump out the window and kill yourself. But the hotter it gets, the more jumping out the window doesn't seem so bad. She got to that point. She needed someone she knew to stop by the house and check on her. I doubt anybody was doing that.
Imagine showing up to someone's house because you're concerned about their well-being and health only to leave them dead because you killed them. This woman did not break any laws she did not commit a crime she pulled a gun in self-defense of her own home to prevent them from taking her away. This woman knows how bad that hospital is she's been there before and she does not want to go back. I asked you who was this woman hurting for this to happen to her. If I want to sit in my house and play chess with myself all day long, that is my right. Imagine a group of men breaking into your house to take you somewhere because they don't think you're well because you're playing chess with yourself.

I went to high school with her, she was in my 2nd year Spanish class. I didn't know her but she was quiet, smart, soft spoken, and looked way different than she did on ER. The way she looked in Stand and Deliver was exactly how she looked in high school, right down to the glasses and barrettes. So sad that she suffered like this, and how disgusting of her family to cash in like they did.

You can’t help somebody who doesn’t want to help themselves. I’ve been to Physciattic facilities more than I’d like to admit. It’s traumatizing to end up in a place where people are literally crazy. Luckily i spent most of the time in a dual diagnosis unit but I’ve spent time in the actual crazy side of mental health treatment where people are banging on door screaming 24/7. I just got out literally 2 weeks ago after I was sectioned to go by the hospital but I signed a notice that they’d have to let me out within 72 hours or get the courts involved. Luckily I’m of sound kind and can advocate and make decisions for myself and have a home I can go to.

People keep asking this and it's honestly an unfair question. I've lived like this in the past. But when I answered the phone or had to leave the house for some reason, you would probably never have guessed. She'd had horrible experiences seeking mental health treatment before, so wanting help was off the table. Which meant going it either with family or alone. And if she chose to go it alone, which many do, it's actually not that hard to clean up for a day or an hour when you need to in order to convince people you're doing better than you are. People assume the fact a welfare check was called means she was in there day and night for weeks, but I actually haven't seen any explanation for why it was called. It doesn't take that long to fuck up an apartment anyway. I've done it in less than a week on numerous occasions.

Those closest to them never fully know if they're on the verge of a lapse or already deep into one. Everyone seems to have this idea that they should have known or been up her ass 24/7. I know how it feels to be forced into a mental hospital against your will. The hospital was a real life “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” nightmare. It’s located in Indianapolis, IN, and my head is more f@cked up now than It was when I went in. That “hospital” had more violations than I was able to keep track of. What Vanessa did was obviously wrong. But if she knew from previous experience how bad it was going to be, she probably was scared for her life 🥲

It’s probably better she isn’t suffering still. The moment I heard them say they were going take her to the hospital, I knew the fear and panic. When you’re already so sick, it is literal torture. People don’t understand it but it’s torture. I have been hospitalized in a similar fashion and, it was torture. Much worse than at home torture of not functioning, and not able to feel anything but horrible anxiety. Just constant suffering. And I’ve done a lot in my life too when I can push myself. Army combat vet, dive instructor, mommy of two, volunteer- etc.

I watched her on Intervention and she had social anxiety which is extremely painful and not like just being shy because I've went through it since a child. Basically a fear of people. She developed a shopping addiction also to compensate. That probably led to a depression in her. So when the cops say they're going to take her to a mental facility she was probably like I'm not about to be around all these random people I don't know 24/7 which she knew would trigger her anxiety. So she decided to end it all. Mental health is like being on the 6th floor of burning building. You don't want to jump out the window and kill yourself. But the hotter it gets, the more jumping out the window doesn't seem so bad. She got to that point. She needed someone she knew to stop by the house and check on her. I doubt anybody was doing that.
Imagine showing up to someone's house because you're concerned about their well-being and health only to leave them dead because you killed them. This woman did not break any laws she did not commit a crime she pulled a gun in self-defense of her own home to prevent them from taking her away. This woman knows how bad that hospital is she's been there before and she does not want to go back. I asked you who was this woman hurting for this to happen to her. If I want to sit in my house and play chess with myself all day long, that is my right. Imagine a group of men breaking into your house to take you somewhere because they don't think you're well because you're playing chess with yourself.

The use of force is always proportional to the other person. If they are unarmed, you use a baton. If they have a baton, you use a taser, if they have a taser, you use a gun. She could have just shot the officer then and there before the tear gas even takes effect. It's also an enclosed space, none of the officer have face protection for tear gas.
