Any how, any receiver (Tuner, Preamp, and Power amp in one box/case), or integrated amp (Pre-Amp and Power Amp in one box/case) will work for both playback and record. Earlier, pre digital era units will be more straight-forward to hook up, as they mostly all have tape monitor outs and tape inputs. Modern receivers require using any free analog input, like "aux", "game" or (analog) CD, and 2nd or 3rd zone or front speaker pre-out connection for sending output to the tape deck to record from.
This is insane, never seen anything like it, have a CTW 950 R, but this and cool!!
What do you think, is it worth buying such a device in good condition, is it reliable in operation?
