Even tho it debuted at the 44th, something not a lot of people can do nowadays organically, her label was mad at the debut numbers. She was supposed to release another solo single called ' Azillion ' later, in like October of the same year, but her label still screwed her over and didn't allow her to release because out of her other songs ' were better sonically ' and they thought Azillion wouldn't do good, because It also leaked and that's the main reason why Iggy wanted to release it as an official single, the fans LOVED it. Still, even with only a single, I believe Iggy dropped the track list for the album.
After this, Iggy's personal life, problems with her former fiancè Nick Young who cheated on her, bullying from the music industry, she decided to give it up and don't release the album in 2016.
In 2017, she wanted to make a comeback with her single ft. Lil Uzi Vert ' Can't Lose ' , but her label again stopped her even after she started teasing it and giving it a proper rollout. After a couple of months, in like May, Iggy released Mo Bounce, the official second single from Digital Destortion, but it sadly flopped hard. It only charted at spot of 17 on the bubbling under of the Billboard100. Iggy tried to push it, but the momentum died, and the fandom really wanted Azillion or Can't Lose, not Mo Bounce, the single also got hate for being extremely sexual and repetitive.
After Mo Bounce, Iggy and the label were at the same mental space: They would've pushed Switch as the 3rd official single of the album, a month before the album release. They released an audio 1st, did a couple of performances, and seeing the amount of love was getting, they shot a music video and it got leaked later. Def Jam, Iggy's label, dropped the MV out of the blue and Iggy was unhappy and deleted it, and scrapped Switch.
After this happened, her label told her they wouldn't release anymore music under her name and no more budgets would be given to her, so the album never got released, but it got leaked.
They then shopped ' Boom Boom ' to Pitch Perfect 3, a track with Zedd, you could call it the 4th single of the album.
Then Iggy took a big hiatus, and comeback with a new label and released Savior: a remixed track that was supposed to be on Digital Distortion. After that flopped too, she understood that the hype around Digital Distortion was long gone with Switch video, and moved on to her next Era, Surviving The Summer. But she didn't fully give up on Digital Distortion tracks, because she shopped to a band her song ' In A Haze ' and she was on it too.
Sooo this is how Digital Distortion Era went down, sadly it has a neutral ending, because even tho Iggy now is independent, we never got the album on Streaming Services.
