@@frenesimyers1895 It's still both of those things, my friend. Visit the parks and you'll see in fact that it's both of those things now more than ever.
The name of the song they were playing on the Mark Twain in the vintage section was “Let me call you sweetheart.” One of my mother and father’s favorites. ♥️
Better known as permanent attractions in my book. I agree. I think they are the best rides in the park. I think that because I was lucky enough to go to Disneyland when I was around 5 the first time. That was in the early sixties. Can you imagine how unique those rides were then. Nothing could compare.
I'm so glad so many of the original rides are still there. I grew up riding them and can't imagine the place without them. That said, Autopia needs to Clean. Up.
WOW! Disneyland has come a long way! The trees and gardens, the lanterns over the teacups, the added trim and decorations.... just keeps getting better and better. Interesting video, thanks.
Five stars for that jungle cruise skipper. 🌟 The elephant joke was funny the second time... But the third time caught me by surprise 😂😂 Who your guide is makes a world of difference for this attraction.
This was so much fun, I’m 71 and much of my life has been influenced by Disney starting with being a part of the Mouseketeers (sitting with my Mickey ears at home in front of the tv 😁) thank you so much, this meant a lot 💕
Thank you Fresh Baked! On a day that I expected more (news, social media, DL) in honoring the original park’s anniversary, I knew I could count on you to make it happen! Thank you for creating those nostalgic moments!!
David - Walt would be very proud of you for the work you do in keeping all of us informed of the happenings of Disneyland, both the “good” and the “bad”. I live vicariously through you as I would love to be at Disneyland with my family as often as you. Your videos make me feel as if I am there experiencing the rides, eating the food, reliving very fond childhood memories. Again, thanks for the work you do. This was a very thoughtful and meaningful video! Someone needs to appoint you Mayor of Disneyland! Bangerang!!!
This is a love letter to the Happiest Place on Earth. Your love for the park is shared by so many, we appreciate your hard work making this touching tribute. Thank you for this gift, David.
Thank you so much for this video! Made me feel extremely nostalgic! The moment with you and Liz on the teacups! 💜💜 living in NorCal I definitely don't get to Disney as much as I would like
FANTASTIC video, David!! Vintage Disneyland is so special seeing Walt walking around the Happiest Place On Earth. Thank you for bringing us all the magic. Fresh Baked ❤️
This is perhaps one of my top favorite Fresh Baked videos yet. I nearly cried several times. I can’t believe how lucky we all are to live in a World where Disneyland exists. Thank you Walt, and thank you David!
“Think of Christmas, think of snow, then off you go. “. A wonderful retrospective. How lucky we are Disneyland has been there for us all these years! You can fly! ;). Thanks for a keeper video. A gem.
What a fantastic job of editing the old nostalgic and wonderful details from this magnificent date 68 years ago to now in full and living color. And you're absolutely right. Don't ever change a topia for all of us originals. We like it just the way it is😂
These type videos that have the past merged in are the best. Walt created a masterpiece. I can see adding to it but what's there should not be changed. It may be different now but arguably nothing is better than the good ol days when it was a more mature environment when things people worry about today were not even a second thought. Well done video David.
This Vlog was 67 years in the making! Thanks for all the decades of Disney! That is a whole lotta serious commitment and hard work, David! Sincerely, Well Done! In the immortal words of Heimlich in the role of Casey Jr, "Whoohoo!"
I love that the family in front of you on the Jungle Cruise was dressed as Winnie the Pooh and friends 😍 I saw the little girl wearing pink "cat ears" and then I realized it's Piglet ears! After I saw her sisters with Tigger and Pooh ears. And I think the mom was Eeyore. ❤
In the words of John Kinsella (from Field of Dreams): “Is this heaven?” That’s how I truly feel whenever I walk under train tracks and walk down Main Street USA! It’s a place where it has gotten better throughout the years! Love the transitions you had in here, David! Great work! Thank you so much! Fresh baked!👍🏻👍🏻😊😊
One of your best videos David. The perfect blending and storytelling of opening day to Disneyland in the present. And as much as we love you and your narraration and hosting of videos, you perfectly allowed the old and new footage to do the talking
That was an excellent video ❣️Thank you so much❣️My mom was there on opening day with her cousin. It was with her after school program called the Red Shield. I reached out to the Red Shield hoping they would have photos from that day & was told they had a fire that destroyed a lot of the history😢 They still operate today (in LA). Thanks again
Oh, David, you've outdone even yourself! This video was worthy of the day, with all the fun, all the facts and all the feels! Thank you more than I can say. Love you guys! ❤❤❤
What a great job on this one. So many great memories. I literally grew up going very often from the opening summer till now with a couple short stints as a cast member. Disneyland is still a magical place. Perfect no but still so wonderful.
Great job!!! Love the way you intertwined the original opening day video with today! My parent went two months after the park opened, but unfortunately my Dad said he didn't think about bringing his camera. Thanks for the Grand Circle Tour....
David, thanks so much for this vlog, looking back to the opening day! My first visit was to Disneyland in 1979. It was so familiar since we had watched Walt talk about the park and the different attractions. Was a magical visit. I’m looking forward to my next visit thanks to you, Liz and Sofia. 😎
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I loved how you added the footage from opening today with your footage. I also love the footage of Liz and you on the teacups. So sweet.
I'm all for leaving the history of the parks in tact, but the park looks so much better today than it did back in the early days. At least based on the pictures and video I've seen.
David please keep doing what you are doing. You bring such peace to my heart and calm my anxiety with your videos. And I always feel like I’m in the parks and that’s the greatest gift you give us. And you’re great at making these videos too. Thank you.
This is the best Disneyland nostalgia I have seen. It also got me re-thinking and I totally agree that all those attractions should be considered a Disney Museum attraction and never touched. Even Autopia, which I have thought in the past it should be changed. We will have plenty of other changes, but protect the sacred Walt Disney originals. ❤
A Fantastic job on your Video! I been a Disneyland fan and collector for over fifty years so it meant a lot to me to see this video! Keep up the great work! Have a magical day! 😎
what a wonderful video!! i literally had tears in my eyes at some points. thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for and love of disneyland on its birthday and throughout the years. 🎂
Great video David! I love all of those opening-day attractions. My favorite is Mark Twain River Boat. I never miss a ride around the Rivers of America when I’m at DL. Thanks for all you do year-round David, but an extra special thank you for this video today. Happy Birthday, Disneyland. ❤❤❤
Every ride has been changed and improved! The Autopia didn’t have the Guide Rail! I’m struck by the Character Costumes! The had to quickly borrow them from the Ice Capades
Hey David, thoroughly enjoyed todays Before and After anniversary video so very much! Thank you for putting this together. Definitely one of my most favorite videos you’ve done. Love it! -Ryan
Thank you so much for the many hours it must’ve taken to make this video. The video editing was fabulous. What a wonderful tribute to Disneyland and the opening day attractions.
I love seeing what was to what has become, it just inspires my desire to know. Thank you for everything you bring to your videos and continue to keep up the amazing work!
Happy Birthday Disneyland! Can you imagine if we were around when Disneyland first opened, do you suppose people would yell out *_"Fresh Baked!"_* How the times have changed including Disneyland itself. But its like Walt said: *_"As long as there imagination, Disneyland will never be complete."_*
Sadly there is no imagination left and Walt is dead. That quote must go and when I take Disney over, it will be replaced by Make Disneyland Great Again.. Disneyland was officially completed on March 3, 1995 with the opening of Indiana Jones.
Truly a great video! Love seeing the old footage and those attractions as they were back in the day. I still say Autopia needs to be replaced, but all the others can stay forever.
Vintage Disney just feels totally different. I love videos like this
Vintage Disney was indeed very different. Old Family values, and truly for children. I miss it a lot.

Five stars for that jungle cruise skipper. 🌟
The elephant joke was funny the second time... But the third time caught me by surprise 😂😂

Thanks for taking us along with you! As one who doesn’t get to go often this means a lot.
Happy Birthday, Disneyland! 🚂🎉 💖 Thanks for brining us there, David!

This is a great video, thanks David. Now, imagine if we could get the imagineers to start working on a time machine
Awesome! I totally agree, if Walt touched it, it’s sacred!!! 😎
Last week on got on the street car at the castle. Bert was pulling, as Bert and Mary were preforming at the castle. Pure magic
Wow, I was surprised how few of the current attractions were there on opening day. Thanks for the video.

I loved the parallels of Opening Day Disneyland with Disneyland of Today. Great video David!!
Love the editing of the intro from opening day on the arrival of the train and the modern day train arrival.
