Mahalo for sharing. A great example of Hawaiian speech. Unlike the dictionary, you teach real-life short phrases with articles and prepositions ... and the pronunciation is amazing!
Aloha! I’m very much enjoying these lessons Laura. I’m wondering how to say ,” I love/like to play ukelele” It would seem that “ Aloha au e ho’okani i ka ukelele” is acceptable “Makemake au e ho’okani i ka ukelele”, seems to lie between “like” and “want”. There’s nothing to aid interpretation in this case. I’d appreciate your input Mahalo nui for your highly informative course.
Hello, question if you have the time one day. I drink soda = Inu au i soda ; or inu au i ka soda - do you have a video about adding the i ( ka ) ? I guess I drink soda or I drink the soda. Which would be best to try use?
Your kindness in allowing us to share in your knowledge of the Hawaiian language is only exceeded by your subtle earthly beauty. mahalo nui ia ‘oe
Mahalo nui! The new verbs are great! Thanks to Duolingo I am happy that I knew 7 of these words already.
