    We can dictate our path if we stop pushing our top talents into their system when we could be building our own system.

      Sounds good..But if you are a great high school player and your dream is make it to the NFL.. 98% of those kids are gonna enroll in a PWC. Boosters make these schools because the alumni give back unlike HBCU graduates. They can put money in these young players pockets and give their family money under the table as well. Deon tried it but it's not sustainable in today's society

      @Reggie Hinton Not only that but pookie and nem kept giving them problems. Also, Coach Prime gave Jackson State the game on how to go D1 which isn't easy to do but if they aren't willing then it'll never happen.

    1M!! Take that, Favre. 😆
    But yes, $250M and you can only "improve" dilapidated buildings? That's saying, _"We don't want your school becoming a destination that competes with PWI's."_

    We need Shannon Sharpe to be a head coach or Athletic Director at an HBCU. Stop the tomfoolery with Skippy Bayless.

    What Eddie George is failing to say is that Tennessee can dictate to Tennessee state where the money goes mainly because its a state funded school. This happened under the great Dr Fred Humphries. The problem is most other hbcus are private and do not have the boosters and donars to raise the endowments. Its not systemic but a matter of the board of trustees at hbcus not wanting to hand over the financial books in order to receive these funds from donars and investors.

    Good ness gracious it’s not systemic racism, alums need to just pony money up! Big time college football programs get hundreds of millions in donations that they use. HBCU supporters need to stop being cheap and donate!

      Did you not listen to what he said? TSU is a state school and they are owed STATE MONEY, which they are rightfully entitled too which they have fought for. Yes, systemic racism def has something to do with it and to ignore that makes me think my ppl are okay with getting jerked around. Gotta fight for what you are owed

    • @RobJarrell63
      @RobJarrell63 Рік тому +1

      If I was an alum, I wanna see that there are ppl willing to fight for the absolute benefit of the school, something that they believe in. That's how you find buy in

      You didnt listen to what Eddie said at all. You have no clue how it works. For every "wealthy millionaire alumni" at an hbcu there are dozens if not hundreds are d1 schools especially the power 5 conferences. Trust me hbcu do not have 20-30 alumni with that type of money to give to their school or an hbcu conference. Im sure many HBCU alumni give back to their school but that is just a drop in the bucket

    PREACH! Wow, how they do HBCU's is comical, but to be honest, some people will figure it out. And then D1 is in trouble!
