I've own both of these animals and i know for a fact they shouldn't of been introduced like this. The cats handled themselves very well in this situation, I feel as though speed needs to have more control over his dog and understand the animals different body language, the white cat was happy at first but you can see him getting kind of over how the dog doesn't leave him alone. If you wanted to introduce them like this straight away, the dog should be told to sit and scolded if he barked at the cats. I get that this is probably a new experience for speed but he definitely should've looked into how to introduce them before actually doing it, so that both the cats and his dog feel comfortable.

Usually cats are not trying to harm but establish space boundaries, the dog will eventually understand that he is getting too close. Speed funny tho😂

The dog can use some training. As a puppy, there's so much energy but if the dog can learn how to sit or leave it on command, it will allow the dog to be calm when you need him to be. Training is a good way to bond with your pets. If the dog knows when you dont like something, it will know to stop. If you train and establish a way to communicate with the dog, it will know when you want him to stop barking when needed. One thing I noticed at the end is when you slapped him on the butt, it was enough to stop him from barking. That was you communicating to him and him understanding. It showed that the dog is receptive to your commands but you will need to put in the time to establish that relationship

The best way to introduce them to each other is letting your cats stay in a room while you let your dog roam the house because cats need to get used to a small area before you let them get use to the entire house, If you give your dog a blanket for a few days to lay on it should have their scent on there and then you can introduce that to your cats slowly so they get use to the scent. And then you can introduce them by using the door as a barrier to keep them safe from each other until they have become familiar with each other. Once you are done doing that you can introduce them using a fence or a gate to be more open but also safe. It should have been a slow introduction not a face to face one cause as you could tell one cat was getting agitated and the other wanted to throw down already. I also made the same mistake but just got lucky cause my cat was chill.
You gotta show how much you love your cat in front of your dog so the dog will understand you love the cat just like how you love the dog.

In the beginning its always hard,
They just need to be trained by a good cat and dog trainer, they will also need time lots of patience, introducing them 3 starts slow and at their level, start by separating them in secure separate rooms, the dog is very excited and barks which is not good for when meeting the cats, they dont all react the same at first, keeping them in separate rooms just enough for each other to smell and hear each other is a good start, just don't let any of them get to close through any seaping hole, or opening because remember they are still not in the same level of comfort, hope this helps

None of the cats are mean, they are probably one of the nicest cats speed could’ve gotten. They just want to be isolated. A lot of cats would straight up get into a real fight with the dog if this happened to them. Speed is lucky the cats he got are nice.

@@Gabysale Being hyper is not being disobedient. Training a dog to not be hyper anymore? That's so stupid. The cats were ok-ish... training could help their temperament. It's not like the puppy was hurting them, and they were free to leave at any point. They just have a bit of a dominance problem, being very touchy. Socializing would be great for them, which is a form of training.

Little explanation : The dog just wants to play (he puts his head down and his buttocks up) but cats and dogs don't have the same way of communicating and so the cat tries to understand if he's a threat and gently pushes him away when he comes too much into his personal space. you should get advice in how to train your dog, he was clearly too forward with your new pets, when you get new animals it is best to keep them in seprated rooms at first so you can control their reactions and let them become acustomed with each other scents
You can't really blame the dog, since it's a puppy. He should have just let them interact without interfering. The first cat was doing a good job in telling the dog off, but speed kept telling the cat off and comforting the dog for some reason.

We have four cats. You have to start them out in a room first and then about after a day or two you let them out and you show them their surroundings. The cat will get used to it quickly then you introduce the dog because it puts pressure on the cats to fight because of their natural instinct.
