Saw the upload, turned my volume up and enjoyed the "ride along".
Set the quality to 4K, ramped up my volume on the headphones and just enjoyed the movie.
I appreciate the filming style - Especially in times like these.
Not everybody can head outside or has interesting weather like this. So I felt like I was there with you.
Could embrace the ambience, the atmosphere!
Keep up the great work.
I always love your "talky episodes" when you're out and about and talk about framing, composition and whatnot. But these videos are just relaxing, taking us along for the ride and are enjoyable.
The pictures were amazing. The first Image seemed right from a Tolkien Movie. Man - the sky was amazing. And the lightning patterns in the other shots. I really "wish" the weather here would be a bit "heftier" when it comes to thunderstorms. We don't often have these kinds of storms with lightning this crazy and huge.
That means a lot! It’s pretty liberating from my perspective to just let the video be about the place rather than about me. It’s also a bit easier on myself deprecating personality as well. I enjoy the challenge of trying to tell a decent story in a limited amount of time sometimes I succeed but sometimes it works out. Thank you so much for the kind words
Hi Nick 😊. I not only full heartedly agree with the comment here, but I find it so interesting that you’re also self deprecating, especially coming from someone as obviously talented as you.
@@monaburch9163 I certainly struggle with my own feelings of self doubt and criticism.. I am willing to be there are a lot of creative people that struggle with the same things.. I might be a bit more transparent with my self doubt than some on UA-cam
@@NickPage Ok, I'm thirding those comments, if that's a thing :) I've been really enjoying your videos, from the on location to the tutorials, so thanks for all of the effort that I know you have to put into making them. You've also developed a style that's definitely your own, and is very professionally done.
On the self-doubt thing? I believe that a large part of that is that when we create something, we are intimately aware of everything it took to get to the end result. We see all of the the choices that we made and know why we made them, or were forced into making them. The things we're not so happy with are glaring out at us, magnified beyond their actual place in the overall image. We see the entire history of that image when we look a it. Other people only see the actual end-result. In a way I'm kind of jealous of that, given that I just want to create great images. I think that you have to put your work away for a good length of time to be able to see it with fresh eyes, and to just see the image. And who's going to do that?
Hairs standing. Incredible viewing experience. Music epic. Thanks Nick.
Hands down the best landscape photographer on YT. Awesome video.
Everything about this video is perfect. Music, location, shots...Just wow!
I kept waiting to see the silhouette of a person in the window of that abandoned house. Beautiful work as well. 👍
That house in it´s self is magic.
It’s certainly one of my favorites, it’s actually an old abandoned school house which is even more creepy
Wow! What an evening! You have a great eye for beauty and drama. The abandoned house with lightning was like out of a scene from Close Encounters. Eerie but beautiful.
Gotta love crusty old derps. Captured some real bangers there.
I don't care what some people say. The lead up to the actual photography is good story telling. In my opinion there is just enough of it to be compelling without being "boring". Plus the images themselves were worth the wait in the lead-up.
Well done (as usual).
I appreciate that John thank you
Love These Storm Shoots Nick, Keep Them Coming.
Mesmerising and beautiful. Especially with the headphones on.👍🙂
I can't believe you left before that sunset was done, such an amazing sunset. Love this video
Hi Nick. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and photography and I must say those two first shot of the sun setting over the hills with the corn filed (I believe it’s a corn field) are AMAZING! That sky is lit up. Thanks for sharing.
Have long followed your work, bought your videos, enjoyed learning from you. But I have to say, this "ride along" for the lightning was special--it felt like I had gone out shooting with you and we were getting goosebumps together! Dude, loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really appreciate that Jane! That’s certainly the goal for these videos I find that the more I make the video about the experience and less about me the more I enjoy them
Nicely done with the sunset in the stubble field. So lucky to have the lightning storm nearby without being right on top of you.
Thanks for sharing again Nick.
yeah.. way way easier to shoot
Beautiful video Nick! You were right... now I understand why you like making this kind of videos. I was completely immersed into the film.
Great shots of the lightning in the background and the sunset!
You set the bar so high for outdoor photography.... good thing I'm tall. Keep showing us how, Nick.
Man, that one with the sunset afterglow, lightning, and the abandon house is amazing! Edit: I should clarify. They are all amazing. That one just really captures an amazing moment.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nick. this vid is money! Don't get me wrong, love all of them but this one is special, for a special time, and has a double meaning for me. Yes, i am enjoying the show. Both of them. The storm that is. LOL
As i said... this is what mak’s nick a great photographer. Such great pictures, specialy with the old house. It must be lots of hard work to make the footage! That accelleration with the pick-up..... fun!
I appreciate it! that was me trying NOT to peel out.. I should have just gunned it and made for a better clip :)
Amazing light and beautiful thunder!
Wow Nick , those shots are all terrific and worthy of being printed , framed and displayed , or else put in a book .
The site preparation , attention to detail and then working on the edits in order to get to their final outcomes was well worth the time put in .
Fantastic and thanks so much for sharing . So underrated yet so beautiful Nick .
Thank you Justin that means a lot
Your videos of you photography is always worth the wait!
Today's cameras really do capture a fantastic dynamic range and the HDR merges look so natural. Here's an image that looks almost just like the one you made with 3 different exposure settings:

Probably my favorite video ever from you Nick. Soothing to watch, and learned a thing or two!
Nick, your photo's always have great atmosphere in them! Love it!
Mesmerising Nick, just love your storm chasing photos. That sunset was nothing to sneeze at either, just beautiful
yeah it was an added bonus of trying to catch up and intercept that storm cell.. very much a .. holy crap.. pull over the car moment
Wow I can't believe how fast that video went, I want more. Nick you are becoming my favorite person to follow and I just love the vlog format you have been producing lately. Love love love your storm photos, just want to see more images. Wish I had more wall space in my home as there are so many of your shots that I'd love to display. Looking forward to your next outing. You and Gavin, my 2 favorites.
Thank you so much! its a good sign when a video goes fast, it means you didn't get sick of me by the end hahaha... that is part of why I am talking less and less in my videos these days.
Damn that’s a killer sunset
Love these videos and their eerie feeling :)
This might be my favorite video (so far) from you! Everything was paced perfectly! OUTSTANDING
Utterly superb images Nick 👍🏻👍🏻
Really well done! Tough to pick a favorite image. Ten action packed minutes for sure.
I've been wondering how you could compete with Mike Olbinski and here I see the beginnings of a plan. Storm chasers chase the biggest, baddest, and most disruptive storms. That may make them great photographers, but not necessarily landscape photographers. You chased a storm, yes, but in order to capture the beauty and majesty of that storm's integration into a grand landscape. I remember many years ago sitting at night on the shore of a lake in Minnesota, watching a meteor shower. The sky was clear except for a thunderstorm about 15 miles to the north. The storm was very compact and there was virtually continuous lightning, several per second. There was a feeling of awe and peace, which your pictures here brought back to me.
Olbinski is the king of the storm time lapse.. he would win that game for sure.. but I will take him on at seascapes :)
Fantastic Video
Absolutely awesome shots again Nick. Love the fact you could watch that storm in eerie calm too.....
Absolutely beautiful, Nick!
Absolutely tremendous pictures!
Wow - fantastic images. Nicely framed and great exposure.
Nick you have put out the best content this year imo. One is either creative or not, has the eye and vision or not. There are so many fools now blabbering on in videos and shooting drones and churning out rubbish that the photography vision itself is being lost. Keep up the good work.
I really appreciate it thank you!
Nothing better than a good lightning storm. Good job capturing it and the video along with the pictures was awesome.
Another exceptionable video Nick, what a wonderful sunset at the start of the video
Utterly mesmerising, you just get sucked into this video...The results were awesome and the techniques subtly displayed .. a real winner of a production Nick..liking this approach to your videos...
Nick, great stuff as always! You guys get the best lightening storms out there. In Virginia we have storms, but they're different. Maybe our humidity is so high that the air is dense and obscures long-distance views. Who knows? But, your shots were super!! Thanks. Gerry
Wow Nick, I so enjoyed every aspect of this video. Thanks so much. The production quality was excellent.
Great vid Nick! Yes the images were really good but the experience was enhanced by the sound, not just the music but the ambient noise you caught. Gave it a real texture that was very very enjoyable.
amazing gorgeous images... what an incredible day out, mother nature certainly gave you a fabulous show Nick !!
Thank you!
Beautiful and inspirational, Nick!
Never shot lightning before, looks like an absolute blast
Wow ! Another amazing and peaceful video with amazing pictures !!
Glad you enjoyed it
A good day’s work...and some!
What an absolutely beautiful video. Perfect mood, music, and ambiance. Totally captivating. Wow, I really enjoyed that a lot. Best video I've seen on YTube for ages. Deserves many many more views. Stunning photography too. Wow, I loved watching that so much I instantly subbed to your channel. Off now to watch your older vids. Amazing work my friend.
Absolutely stunning!
Wicked storm and awesome images!
Just don't seem to get that sort of lightening storm in the UK Nick (probably too small a land mass) so love seeing these. Not sure how brave I'd be around lightening like that! great shots Nick. I'm in awe!
Great video Nick. Love your photography! Looking forward to new episodes soon!
The images look like they are from an end of the world type Sci fi movie 🤩
All I can say is “holy crap!” This was literally astounding. I lived in Oklahoma for four years and I still get a bit nervous seeing supercells on weather maps.
Amazing photos Nick! Love the video. Truck is looking good too!
Absolutely stunning
WOW .... epic pictures and video Nick.
Beautiful stuff Nick, love the lightning.
love the video. I enjoyed the balance of no narration in the beginning with just the visual tour and then some teaching/explanation towards the end. Beautiful shots as well. Your videos are a treat every time you post. I hope to take a workshop some day when the world is post covid and I'm making money again! All the best Nick.
Awesome, thank you for the kind words. Its amazing how refreshing it is from my point of view to not feel pressured to ramble the whole time.. I get pretty sick of listening to myself after a few hundred of these videos haha. I think we are all looking forward to a post-covid world!
Your a wizard Harry!
Stunning images.
Spectacular, Nick! :) Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful work, great viewing. Thanks Nick
Seriously good mate. Simplistic, clean, enjoyable 👍🏼
Stunning images, love the first ones with the remains of the sunset. Safety first as well as tripods make good conductors!
Nick - you selling prints?
I am working on getting my website setup a bit better for print fullfillment.. its in the works
Stunning photography and video! Thanks so much!!
You know its going to be a good day when nick uploads a video...epic shots as always nick..❤👌
So beautiful, thanks for sharing Nick.
The first two shots, in the wheat field, are absolutely....stunning! :) Poke @mister Heaton :)
2 minutes in...BEAUTIFUL!
Great video Nick! Appreciate the ambient sound you captured, really added to the mood 👍🏻
Awesome work once again Nick. Congrats!
So look forward to these videos. Great work Nick.
Glad you like them!
Nick -- I know you have said it is hard to get your self motivated to go out- but man this a great video and the pictures are just amazing. Please do more.
Thanks Michael... these conditions will get me out to shoot everytime.. these also represent the only clouds we have had in about a month and a half haha. I hear you though.. it was so nice go get out and shoot
Thanks Nick!
I have always enjoyed your videos and I like the editing style in this one (too) it gives the feeling of being in the field with only the ambient sounds and the amazing landscape. That is also some epic photos! Keep up the great work. Greetings from Copenhagen :-)
Another sweet Nick Page video. This stuff is awesome!
Storm photos are great. Seems like you love that place, that's the second or third videos you did there for storm.
My area has a limited options for decent for grounds, and it just so happened that it lined up once again for this storm cell.
Real great film. What a wonderful landscape you got there for this kind of photo’s. And as always you nailed it perfectly. Love your films. And hope you keep making them!
Thanks so much Edwin... I really enjoy the more 3rd person style of shooting. because like you said, it feels more like a short film than a vlog.. the world has enough "vloggers"
great video, Nick, love the photos you captured
Great production Nick. Next level.
Fantastic as usual Nick! Glad you were able to get out. Hope that scratched the itch.
Absolutely awesome!
Those storm and shack images were the most impressive that I have seen for awhile, in particular the one with the orange sunset.
Stellar video mate! This new format with minimal dialog is strangely involving, gets me more emotionally connected with the scenes and atmosphere. Very well done! I think this is the same storm front that reached all the way up to Vancouver BC a few days ago, we also had a spectacular lightning show up here!
It’s actually quite liberating from my point of you as well do not feel pressured to blather on the whole time
Great video. Like always. And beautiful images.
Great video, I enjoyed every minute. Beautiful photos.
Awesome Work Nick, Great set ups and Bolts - Thanks for Sharing Nick!
Absolutely awesome
Great shooting and the colors in the hay field were pretty damn nice!
Nick, love your videos as always..hope you are staying safe with all the fires up in the Great NW..Take care my friend, Ken in Arizona 🌵
Thanks, you too!
Glorious results...thinking you have become just about my fave photographer, consistency of results is astounding...never a ho hum image. 👍🏼
I appreciate it! I take plenty of bad photos though
WOW!! That was amazing. Thanks Nick.
My pleasure!
Brilliant work Nick!
Beautiful shots
Wow Nick. That must be one of youre top videos in my opinionm. And that's a compliment. I do really enjoy most of what you do👌🏻❤️
