I've done the timing that many times on my Au engine & never bent a valve, you got to turn them over with a 7/8 or 22mm before running the engine my Au has an Ef balancer. The keyway lines up with the Dot on the Block, the oil pump doesnt matter and its the Dot on the outer part of the cam sprocket.
everytime the head comes off u get more compression. W
