Thanks! I was able to just loosen some debris from the lidar motor, and it spun again. It was way easier to open it up with the help of this video. I used a 9v battery with some alligator clips to test the motor to verify I'd fixed the problem before closing it back up. It was hard to visually see the debris lodged in, but the exacto knife I used to pop the rubber screw heads off came in handy for scraping little bits of fluff and stuff off the motor's drive shaft under the orange part that connects with the little orange belt.
