Do the same thing, but with kerbin getting closer to the sun. Make it to Laythe to save the Kerbal race. Make it at a set rate though so it's not as buggy. Also make a surface base and get over 100 kerbal there
I'm doing this with Gilly but with ~1444 kerbals. I'm planning on bringing tons of surface bases and orbiting stations and then I will colonize the solar system from Gilly. I'm doing it just to prove how big even the smallest celestial objects really are.
5:06 welp you've sold me on that texture pack, and now I really want any mod that brings the planets/moon closer together because that looks fucking beautiful
Congratulations, the Kerbin-Mun-System is now Just a bunch of rocks. But it's getting closer together. And it's getting closer together. And it's getting closer together.
If you want something really weird, but also breathtakingly beautiful, make it so that Kerbin and Laythe are orbiting REALLY close together... It took a while for me, but eventually, I managed to get an airplane that is able to take off from either Kerbin or Laythe, and land safely on the other one (Landing on Laythe is SUCH a pain though)
Have Kerbin’s orbit be tied to gametime, (as in, as time passes, the orbit gets smaller), and have the planet atmosphere temperature be tied to the periapsis of the planet. So pretty much solar apocalypse.
gotta admit seeing kerbin get further away really made me feel a sense of dread and hopelessness
