Switching from my fishing kayak to a Pond Prowler. New sub and enjoy your videos. It’s going to be a process to update my boat. Your videos have been helping a lot. Thank you.
Welcome @Outdoorswithlogdog to the channel it's really a great feeling to know that my content has been helpful to others in their process of rigging up his or her small plastic boat. Thanks for watching, subscribing and leaving a comment. 👍🏾
Its nice to see someone that has consistently put up videos while fishing on the Bass Raider 10e, I had mine for a few years and just traded it for an 8hp Evinrude to go on the back of my new to me Sun Dolphin pro 120.
I've been checking out those Sun Dolphin 120 I like the way they look. Yeah, I love my Raider. God willing I plan to keep pushing out more content on the Bass Raider. Thanks for watching 👍🏾
As always, a great video. You have proven that you don’t have to break the bank to get onto the water. The pelican bass raider is an excellent choice. Actually, you don’t have to have a trailer. The boat is made to fit in the bed of a pickup truck. However, trailering is in my humble opinion the best way to go. I appreciate that you don’t take your subscribers for granted. You really care. In every video you are doing your best to educate your subscribers. That’s what makes a strong bond.
I appreciate the kind words padenK you all are the fuel that keeps my channel rolling y'all continue to inspire me to keep going forward. I'll always keep it 💯 with my subscribers. Thanks for watching 👍🏾
Great video Jett. You have the best balance around. Also, I will never go out on ANY boat without a life jacket on. I flipped that PBR over once with my buddy. Without the vest, not sure it would have ended well. Fish on Jett.
Hey Jett, I have been doing a lot of research on purchasing a small "bass" boat and I am really leaning towards the pelican 10e nxt. I have been following and watching your very informative vids. I appreciate that. When you got your boat did you seal off the trim around the pelican that holds the two pieces of the boat together? and if so, with what? And if not, have you had any water leak problems? Also, I watched one of your vids where you discussed the boat, trailer etc. In it you stated that you had tires on your trailer that are rated for 55mph. Do you ever travel long distances and go over that rated limit? The reason I ask is that my closest lake is about an hour and a half away. Keep up the great vids. and get outdoors. Oh, and this particular video has answered a lot of questions regarding my concerns about various water conditions. There is an app called "windy" that I use when I am at a lake, or anywhere for that matter, that gives you wind conditions by the hour. You might be interested in it. Thanks again for all the great content and I have definitely subscribed.
Hi @jkerwin welcome to my channel. To answer your questions 1st I never used seal on my boat before. My PBR stays in my garage at all times. I have heard people say they had problems with water getting into the hull. Nearly everyone of them admit to keeping their boat outside mostly uncovered so I stress how important covering your boat is. I've never had a water issue with my boat. Yes, my trailer has size 8 tires on it I've found out over time due to the light weight of the boat I drive the highways all the time exceeding 65 mph often. 4 yrs later the original tires are still in good shape. I drive over a 1hr too and from home to fish with no problems. Those size 8 tires will get you back and forth no problem. I average 60 trips fishing each year for the past 4 yrs. I'll definitely check the app Windy. Thanks for liking, commenting and subscribing to my channel. I really appreciate your support 👍🏾
I want to go fishing with you down there with you. I also have a Pelican 10E and have the same trolling motor, and put a jet outboard on it. I haven't tried the new outboard yet but can't wait to try it.
I need to do a rudder on mine before I get back out on the resivour. Last year did mostly small river fishin. I recently installed a pulse width modulator on my Endura just for control like you mention. Great video!!
Yes your so right and thats the great thing about these lil boats. It's still more from a design standpoint that will keeps this boat sales going for many more years.
I like your boat. How much weight can it carry? Im rocking a 17' grumman canoe with a minn kota 30lb thrust motor. It can handle 700 lbs plus the weight of the boat ( approx 80 lbs). I can get a solid 3 mph on the water with myself and my 2 oldest sons and all our gear.
I'd say the Pelican Bass Raider weighs around 150 lbs 10 ft long capacity 600 lbs with 2 people, outboard, gear and trolling motor. A very stable boat with my 2.3 HP outboard top speed has been 6 mph but I did manage to reach 7 mph on slick water with a light breeze. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it 👍🏾
The transom does have a lil flex but It's nothing to worry about. Checkout my 3 yr review of my Pelican Bass Raider. Here's the link to that video ua-cam.com/video/kymDh0b2WKA/v-deo.htmlsi=E7OazdzMsr8AiXTY
Well I've not really ran a speed test on my trolling motor but I can recall seeing little over 3 mph on my debt finder while I was moving across a small cove using my trolling motor. Sorry I couldn't give you a concrete proven number but my Bass Raider moves very well in the water. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate you reaching out.
I'm not really sure about the ❓ you're really asking exact but I'll try to answer. It's a single bolt located at the top of the trolling motor. When you remove that 🔩 it allows you to spin around the handle to the opposite direction. Slide the 🔩 back in and tighten. That fixes that problem if that's not what you're asking I very rarely run my trolling motor in reverse. There have been a few cases where I've done it but not many. Thanks for watching 👍🏾
Thank you for the info. The tutorial on the PBR 10E is great. I’m enjoying my PBR 10E even more. Just improved the tongue extension on my utility trailer. #lipripper

Thursday morning is the perfect time- getting me pumped for the weekend
Fish on!
I'm ready for this weekend too. I didn't get to go last weekend.
The rudder helps keep the wind from blowing up in circles, I love it
Yeah without that rudder on you'll be spinning for days. 😂

Yeah I'm glad you had yours on also a lil extra security always helps. I hope I never experience mine flipping. Thanks for watching 👍🏾
Very informative video, will look at adding one to my outboard. Keep making these videos man!

Thanks Chatman for watching 👍🏾
I have a pond prowler 10 and love it... when you don't spend all you money on just a boat you can put money towards better electronics
So true Brandon I agree 💯. Thanks for watching 👍🏾
I find it amazing that people still buy kayaks over pelican’s boats. Nice Video🦅
I agree for the price man it's a lil impressive boat. I appreciate you checking out my content and leaving a comment @CatfishCameron 👍🏾
Solid tips on handling the wind!

Thank you! I appreciate you watching
Love the pointers. Just got a Bass Pro Pond Prowler 10 and can’t wait to get it out on the water.
Thanks for watching 👍🏾
Great tips Jett! But I got to tell ya, if you gonna keep backing me into the bushes, I'm gonna quit going fishing with ya.😂
😂😂😂oh my side 🤣🤣 that's a good one. I apologize I'll do better don't leave man. Thanks for watching and the 😂

Appreciate your support 💯
Lil pop ups on point!

I love my Raider. It say it was the perfect easy to manage small boat, IF IF IF the side gunnels were 2-3” deeper.
Yes your so right and thats the great thing about these lil boats. It's still more from a design standpoint that will keeps this boat sales going for many more years.
Try dropping anchor to keep you in place to fish the area. By you keep using your trolling motor will kill your battery.
That's true for sure
Awesome video
Thanks for watching 👍🏾
I find myself fishing with the current kind of flowing with the drift. Great video. Would you mind to let us know what state you are in?

Yeah I got a beavertail final attack boat with two and a half horse Coleman and then I got a 30 lb thrust Minn Kota
Are those Coleman outboards good?
Haven't got it out there yet has a small gas tank so you have to take extra fuel with you
Was that a fishing app, or just a weather app?
Local weather forecast app it should be located in your app store. Thanks for Watching 👍🏾

Yeap exactly 💯
are you running your trolling motor in reverse

$70,000 for a bass boat is just absurd. You can catch as many fish out of a jon boat. I think it is more about ego for certain people.
Exactly the price of a bass boat is crazy.
