Great memories. My Grandmother worked at Gentex in the 50’s and or 60’s. I remember her mentioning it when I was on summer visits in the 70’s and 80’s. I remember the square pizza my grandparents kept on hand. I was introduced to pierogis the fried dough with sugar at the Mt. Carmel carnival and the Clifford picnic. Here in Austin I see pierogis in the frozen section on my grocery store on occasion. Great videos!
I think the popular frozen brand, around here at least, is Mrs. T's. I'll always go for Petrosky's though. The square pizza is usually called 'Sicilian' and you can get a really good one at Royal Pizza on Salem Ave in Carbondale.
