Its very hard to translate english into spanish for my mom that doesnt speak read, or understand english that much but she only understands when I get in trouble though😠
It is nice for kids to know both languages but it’s actually really stressful for kids at times as well. Random story, and very weird, but I used to work at a department store (sold mostly clothes and shoes), and I once had a customer that didn't speak English. She started talking to me in broken Spanish. I spoke to her in Spanish right back (I am bilingual), and we managed to somehow communicate effectively about an item that she wanted to buy, but she didn't want to overspend (she wanted to only purchase the minimum to be able to use a coupon). We literally communicated in Spanish and Portuguese, and my mind was blown because there was a lot that I understood, and she also understood my Spanish. The moral of the story: Spanish and Portuguese are so much alike, and I think that once you manage to speak one romance language, you can learn other romance languages with a lot more ease. This video just reminded of my random, language-barrier, yet successful, experience👏💯
