  • Did you know that Dollar Tree is a great place to visit for woodworking projects? Me either! I just happen to be in one of their stores recently and noticed a few small beginner projects that would be great as teaching elements or even gifts, depending on the person.
So for this video, I will build these projects and show you the good and the bad of each. But surprisingly I was impressed with almost all of them.
Surprisingly Dollar Tree does have an affiliate program, but at the time of this video, I am not a part of it. But if you would like to support this channel, please use or Amazon affiliate link below.

those are pretty cool. I can definitely see why they don't include the ca glue in them for little kids. I would probably just let the kid assemble them with the included glue then hit them with ca glue and activator afterward. Just tell them you're using special stuff to make the glue dry faster.

In the craft section they have some small “craft clamps” in a couple sizes just like the ones your using except w pink rubber. They also sell a fantastic wood glue - for small craft projects only- it’s the Superglue brand wood glue. Small bottle in the home/hardware/tool section. Dries pretty quick and plenty strong enough for these!!

That's pretty cool, I think I'll get the fighter jet & racecar, they just look cool. I thought you were going to show how to use them as templates. 🏎️🛫

I would definitely recommend using CA glue instead if the PVA glue they include. Maybe buy some super glue while you're at the dollar store

Regarding the sailboat, I think the sails could be completed much easier by merely folding the leading edge of the sail over the string and then just apply a few drops of glue to the cloth to keep the string inside the "tunnel" you created.

      Great tip! Thank you

Or, just go ahead and sew them inside your "little tunnel" you can do it by hand or with a machine, and if you are working with kids, they can operate the sewing machine with the hand wheel.
