We loved the first generation BRZ for its perfect handling. It was a great value for money car and also a fantastic sports driving practice car. The second generation is practically the same, only with a more powerful engine and a more refined driving performance. The new engine is really nice and the stiffer body is actually noticeable. Unfortunately, the shock absorbers and torsen differential settings have not changed much. The chassis is actually a little less predictable and stable due to a more comfortable setting. Driving at the limit is therefore a bit more demanding and almost quite scary in technical passages with poor grip. The suspension and differential are the biggest weakness of the second generation. Otherwise, it's really an extremely good car that is not only fun, but constantly forces you to drive properly and improve your skills!
It looks so easy when YOU do it. Just shows how skilled you are, cheers.
The rest of us can't even do the same thing in a video game without crashing into a tree trunk..
@@alpanex21 It's much easier to drift in real life than in any game, especially in snow and wet, there's only a few sims that come close, but it's hard to drift without feeling g forces and only relying on vision. I could barely keep a slide for more than 2 seconds in Assetto Corsa, but the first time I tried to drift in real life, I could do circles around a roundabout without much problems after 10 minutes of practice.
We need pedal cam, to see how u control the clutch
he has a prior video of him doing this same course ( i think ) in a red gr86 with pedal cam. But i agree, the more the merrier
Woah this driving is insane. Great car control. 97% of drives would’ve put it in the ditch attempting this
best driving channel on youtube bar none
Great video and great skills. I really liked when you also had the footwork camera in some previous videos. It gave additional perspective on the driving technique. Hope you bring it back. Cheers!
dudei literally cannot stop watching these. this is some of the best overall driving ive ever seen. you can do it all. snow, rain, dry, all of it
You're a surgeon behind the wheel dude. Respect.
I would be in the trees in the first 30 seconds 😂
This is therapeutic.... Thanks for the videos!!!
Your skills never disappoint. Great job.
wet surface, no guard rails, leaves... you must have great balls
That's clean and smoooooth...
Nejlepší úseky na Křivoklátsku, máte to tam pěkně najetý👍😎
The BRZ/GT86 really is an amazing car. Sounds good, drives so well, looks awesome, is reliable, low gas consumption, and it is so god damn affordable too.
It's really the love letter to people who love driving, but don't have the pockets for a sports car that costs 100k new, and even more in maintenance, insurance, gas, and taxes to own for a few years.
you should teach us how to drift and slide :)
Your driving is so relaxing, i love your content
My sweater has a GR86 and I am wearing it right now
So smooth
Another great video! Still amazes me seeing you drive this chassis
great control on some tight roads!! 👍👍
it is a pleasure to see you drive😍
Nejlepší onboardy vždycky! Ideální zábavná jízda = dobré auto + dobrý řidič, pak to vypadá takto :) A že s Toyobaru to jde velmi snadno. Díky všem kdo pořídili nové BRZ nebo GR86.
Best pov I've ever seen. nice driving!
Clean AF! 👌
Legend!
Tvl. to je taková radost dívat se, že konečně někdo taky umí...
Great
Anyone who thinks the GR86 or BRZ are slow should watch this video. Wished I could have gotten one, but the limited avaibility drove up the costs too much; as good as it is, I didnt wanna pay 42k for a GR86, when the GT86 was avaible for less than 30k; even the GT86 Dragon or Shark where only 31-32k.
Unless you're absolutely sure you want to go sideways and have another daily driver otherwise, just get a miata and call it a day. I say that as a 23'BRZ owner.
@@zydomason I ended up going for an I30N DCT back then, was a close decision between that, a Civic Type R and a Yaris GR. The Miata, as much as I love that car, sadly doesnt have the storage for my other hobby and I dont have enough income for more then one car.
such a sweet ride 😍
Thank you again! More difficult to handle than the 86? Interesting.
people need to sub this channel.
Damn its Takumi Fujiwara himself !
Great skills as always 💪 what do you think are the main differences between this and a GR86?
Man I need more skill lol. If I could drive this road the first corner I would hit a tree :(
this man DEFINITELY watched his initial D.
Great driving as always. Having driven both, do you prefer the GR86 or the BRZ?
God damn you are good. (ex-) rally driver I'm guessing?
I drive the same exact car (even same trim and color)! I absolutely love it and I’m trying to improve my skills.
Have you made any modifications to the vehicle you are driving in this video?
👍👍👍

Hey man. Have you tried the suicide hotline?
Suspension and LSD can be quite easily modified but what about almost dead steering feel in this generation?
do you drop the clutch when you handbrake drift since this is a rwd car?
He would have to or the car would stall
Is that the stock shifter? Looks like a pretty short throw.
why do you initiate drift with a handbrake? do you prefer it that way? i never had a car with a handbrake that good :D, and when i tried it on snow, found it kinda hard to control it, so i stick to braking and turning the wheel at the same time, then stepping on the gas, to kick the back end out.
which technique is better in your opinion and why? since you're way better driver, i wonder what's your take on this?
Since it's a RWD, do you have to press the clutch in order to not stall?
Tyres on rear?
yes
how do we know this man is not Ken Block living his best life off the grid, behind the camera?
I have some rough news for you..
Cuz his dead…
What tires are you using?
Can a stock BRZ drift like this on dry roads?
It'd doable but you will be fighting against massive understeer. Some suspension change such as some negative camber up front are necessary.
Yep. Do it everyday
I don't think that's stock, too little understeer for it to be stock. Not a bad thing, but the BRZ especially is tuned for understeer so it'd probably juat end up on a tree fully stock.
80% of this car looks identical to GR86, whats the catch?
front bumper, suspension (spring rates and anti roll bars), knuckles material, badging and interior colors. That's all the differences I think
it's the same car. Almost all of the GR86 is subaru parts, mostly developed by subaru and made in the subaru plant in Japan. The only notable toyota part of the GR86 is the D-4S injection system added to the subaru engines.
Its awd?
Rwd
It's a shame that from 2024 onwards it's almost going to be imposible to have fun cars due to EU mandates
vsude stromy, mokro, listi a novej zadohrab, slusna kombinace.
