A non-custodial account doesn't need a destination tag. Because the entire account belongs to you
But when sending it back to an exchange, make sure you put the designation tag otherwise you will lose your xrp

XUMM is not a cold wallet.
(Software Wallet (phone has an internet connection))

@@messiiileo1456 XUMM is a perfect software wallet. But additionally you could get a hardware wallet as well (D'Cent, Ledger Nano, etc.)

@@feds2689 "Parent Account". Yes, just that you activated an account. Doesn't give the activator special perms.
Otherwise the "parent account" would be an exchange. But that doesn't matter
