- A few weeks ago I traded for a cool The Simpsons - The World Of Springfield action figure collection. The Collection had action figures, play sets, toys r us exclusives, A few of the Treehouse Of Horrors Playsets and tons more. The World of Springfield is one of my all time favorite action figure sets and they are definitely really cool figures.

Cool video, I have so many of those. I have almost 2 dozen single figures that have no "series" label on it. They look the same as the rest, just no tab on the right, indicating the series number. Any idea what these are? There was a KB Toys sticker, while most of mine were from Target and Toys R Us.
Are the no series ones still playmates figures? Or are they newer Neca ones?
I got a bunch of series 1, not sure what to do with. Any advice? Keep, sell, grade?
Depends if you need the space, or need the money then sell them. If you like them and are ok on money and space I would hold them for the future.

Hey I just scored on a big collection . what do you think a reasonable price is for a collection of 150 106 individual and about 10 PlaySets with extra exclusives great condition was stored in bin
When I buy these for my shop and they are still in the package I usually aim to pay $4-$5 for individual figures and $7-$10 for the normal size playsets, $15-$20 for the Treehouse of Horror and deluxe sets and $1-$2 each if the figures are open.

Thank you, not sure why I decided to talk about it but I thought the Simpsons figures were a perfect example to talk about since they are reaching that 20 year old age where people start buying them for higher prices.
i had a similar conversation about the gormiti figures that are very recent and in like 15 years approximately this gen will want to collect them as it is happening now with the greek lyra exogini or monochromatic battlebeasts.
Yes I see it happen all the time stuff when it moves into about 20 years old starts having a greater demand, selling for more etc.
as u said the generation that had a toy line at their childhood that they liked, when they become the buying force at their 30s with jobs and families, the nostalgia kicks in and they tend to hunt for these toys lines. its a circle that never ends.:)
Exactly and the fun part is predicting what childhood fandom will become the next thing to sell for good money to 30 year olds.

Since they are long out of print, you will have to start on ebay or mercari or other places that sell older stuff. Buying a lot will get you the best value.

Old video I know!! 🤣 I started collecting these when they released. I have the first 22 of 24 play sets, I have 3 of the 4 Treehouse of Horror sets, Christmas set, New Year set, Main Street set ...all 3 diorama sets. Most of the Toys R Us exclusives, 1/2 of KB Toys exclusives. 39 total "environments" Figures I have waves 1-6 then my collecting slowed down so I have series 9, some 10, 13, 14, and 15. All still in original package and good shape. Just now getting interest in watching vids like yours as I think I will sell my entire collection soon just to clear up space in the house.
It is a really fun Action Figure set. Makes sense if you need the space to sell the set.
HI! im from germany and i wanted to ask ( if i will ever fly to america) where youre shop is because i want to buy some of them and in germany its very hard to get them and they are very expensive. So if i would visit youre shop how much would a simple figure like lou or legs or ralph cost? I have the simpsons LEGO house and many comics and other things of them and i love the way its made and the jokes are funny and i saw them and i just wanted to collect them but i havent got so much money right now because i spend it in other action figures and clothes so i want to buy them cheap (not too cheap but not so expensive)... You just need to contact Funko directly and set up an account. You need to order a certain amount of normal pops to qualify for the specialty series.

This is tied with the Toynami Futurama line as my favourite series. So incredibly jealous of that Main Street set, I've never come across that one before and doubt I'll ever find it.
Yeah I decided to keep the Main Street set because I have never seen one before and I have bought and sold hundreds of these figures. Definitely a rarer piece.
I love the simpsons more than anyone I know and these figures are amazing. The Burger King ones are also a nice gem. The one for the simpsons movie was phenomenal
Yeah this line is one of the coolest Action figure lines ever made and for a Simpson's fan they are a must have. Whenever I have a full studio space to film in I do want to finish the set. I only have about 15 of the rarest figures from the set.
Yeah the golden homer was really cool
Very cool collection, I love the Simpsons figures compared to a lot of others. They're very uniform compared to others, if you get what I mean, they'd look very tidy on display - very aesthetically pleasing, at any rate!
Yes they are a really nice consistent collection that displays well and they have so many of the mini display environments that you can display the figures with. They are a really awesome toy line.
I have to be careful not to get sucked in to stuff other than Pops, Dorbz, and Rock Candy's, else I'd be all over these. Hopefully the upcoming Simpsons Pops will satisfy the itch, so to speak, and I can get some of these in the future!

Woah what a score! I've only ever seen them online and I've been wondering about the voice feature - do these need/contain batteries? I'm only asking because I always shy away from buying older toys and collectibles that were sold containing batteries because I'm afraid the acid might have leaked and it'll be a mess upon unboxing.
I think they are all so old that the batteries are dead. Some older toys do have acid leak which is a bit of a mess but I usually put on some gloves and use some rubbing alcohol and q tips and it usually cleans up really well. The figures themselves did not have batteries so those you can safely collect. Also if you want to open them up you can try to find some used sets for cheap so if they do have acid leak its not that expensive etc. Good luck, they are definitely a fun set.

Since they are 15-20 years old now you got to just keep an eye out for a decent priced collection on ebay etc.

I dont really sell online right now, the physical shop sells well enough that I dont need to spend the extra time to get things to sell.

Thank you, the large collection hauls are some of my favorite videos to make, its like a little collecting adventure. I do not really sell much on ebay any more, its too slow and time consuming for me.
I was working at TRU back in that 2000-2005 period. Everybody was buying these up like crazy and then I remember looking at Lees Toy Review and the prices took a nosedive. I could have sworn they said the prices took a nosedive because they did a reissue of many of the previous figures.
Yeah they were so so hot when they came out then got over saturated. The prices stayed low for the longest time because of that but they are starting to creep up.

At this time I do not do mail order, but I do have a ton of visitors from outside New York visit my shop to by gifts and souvenirs.
I love the series 1 figures of The Simpsons world of Springfield and also I love the The Simpsons talking car and The Simpsons talking School Bus
They are one of the collect figure lines from that era.
I’ve always thought collecting was so cool especially with something old or something that not much others you know like. And I just started my simpsons figure collection with groundskeeper willie and busted krusty
The fun thing about collecting things that are older and not as popular at the moment is you can collect relatively cheaply. I love that. And with time that stuff sometimes catches demand again and your collection gains value.

They are really awesome. They came out in the early 2000s in the US and were super popular then. As I said in the video a lot of people from around the world have not seen them so they were always a good seller to me for international customers visiting New York from abroad.

Itchy and scratchy a few variants of Krusty, the series 1 set the whole Sunday’s best family and countless others! I moved on with the toys tho and generated to POPS because of you! Hahah I was wondering if we could maybe make some kind of trade! My whole simpsons collection for maybe just a few harder to find pops I been looking for??... Trades like that are kinda difficult for me because it ends up taking a few days trying to figure out what you would want etc and I am just so busy at the moment to do that. Maybe in the winter when its slower in my shop I will take you up on that trade.

Yeah Homer and Bart are the 2 easiest characters to sell, everyone loves them.
I just recently purchased the "Radioactive Homer" and i now have the entire W.O.S Collection.
I love Radioactive Homer, he is so cool. He is one that I actually purchased when he first came out, I believe I had to send away for it from Tay Fare magazine. Was he the last one you needed or you got a complete set after you purchased him lol

I was up to date with all the mail away figures at the time. If memory serves some were also exclusive to Toys-R-Us. As the toy line went on and figures became more obscure, sales weren't the same and the last few series became hard to find. I remember calling for and finding the "Townsquare with Jebediah Springfield" at a Toys-r-us way out on Eastern Long Island. I started collecting the series right after the Glow in the Dark Homer mailaway had ended. It was a couple hundred dollars on Ebay when the series was hot. Being it was literally the only one missing from my collection, which are all opened btw, i always said i would buy one to finish the collection. I guess i could start collecting the 25th greatest celebrity line Simpsons figures to add to the collection.
I have been buying and selling them for 20 years, I think back in the day I did not want to go too crazy putting the set together so I focus on only the mail away figures and the Treehouse Of Horror Sets. Prices have been pretty stable for years though, but I suspect they will start climbing soon so I kinda want to put a set together before that. The Neca like is pretty cool too and fits right in.
Awesome I like the Simpsons and watch the Reruns on fx I still Have my Simpsons t shirt from the late 80s early 90s.
The original seasons are still some of my favorite. I remember in the late 80s waiting for the Tracy Ullman show every week just to watch the Simpsons shorts and then when they announced the Christmas special I could not wait. The Simpsons definitely have a special place in my heart and in Pop culture as a whole.
Yes I Remember watching it on the The Tracy Ullman show also Back When we Had HBO and Showtime For a short while so when it came on Regular Cable was Glad Cause we had to cut out all the Extra Channels

Professor Hawkins sells for between $100-$140 _ I'd hold onto him for a few more years - It will be the most collectible of all Simpsons figures
I think when I bought him he was around $60, definitely rising in value. I kept him.

Definitely a cool set to put together. I have not really gone out of my way to put the set together yet but it is a goal to eventually do. I do have most of the rarest pieces though.

I have my own store also! I got a haul of these toys. I would sell them from a range of $5-6 dollars, and the big sets $59-89 dollars
We sold out all of the single figures for $10-$12 they sell well for us.

There is kinda a long story attached to it now lol I actually bought 2 of him that day, one in better shape and I was really stoked to add him to my collection. So when I was doing the video I was really amped up and excited to finally sort this collection and make a video with it. Well when I got to the last box I realized that one was missing and I got a bit deflated. Hours later searching all over for him I came to the realization that someone must have stolen him while he was still in the store (I had them all in boxes for a week before I removed them) Which really bummed me out and I could not even finish the video lol If you see at the end of this video I look really tired and talking lower because I filmed that part at 3 in the morning when I finally found the motivation to finish. So it double bums me out he was missing because I could have sold you the second one ugh. As a Patron you do get first priority so if another ones comes in I will let you know for sure.

Oh yeah I mistook your questions, I thought you meant if they have any electronic components. Yes they are action figures so they have some articulation. The figures each have a chip in them that is activated on the playsets and the playset makes the voices and sounds.

Nope! People come to a shop such as mine to sell quickly without the work. They are basically hiring me to sell the items for them. And the profit I make is something like minimum wage, I am not making a huge killing because I pay very fair prices. If people want ebay prices they can sell on ebay etc. But to sell on ebay you have to do the work to sell on ebay.
