Thanks for the video. I always enjoy how differently things are named. We call that accumulator an evap canister, at least I believe that's what that is. And my problem is the sagging/dropping of the suspension over night (2009 continental gt). I didn't take it out, the pump, but I disconnected the 3 wires, put power to the pump but it would not turn off (weak finger?) like your testing did. A lot of pressure though. It lowers evenly overnight.
Thanks for watching and commenting, an accumulator and EVAP are not the same thing, whether you're in Europe or US, an accumulator stores energy, in this case pressurised energy (compressed air) and EVAP is an acronym for evaporative emission control, the EVAP is usually a charcoal canister which holds petrol (gasoline) vapour and then burns through the engine via a solenoid valve, they do very different things. Technically you could say that fuel vapour does accumulate in the charcoal canister! I hope this helps resolve the confusion 🙂👍
Mine takes two days for the front end to drop. I turn it on and it comes up no problem. I guess the pump is doing its job but these issues are so finicky
A somewhat related question: 2015 Flying Spur with next to no miles but had a rough life; I do not know the details. Front struts were just replaced at a third party shop who may have botched the job. The car pulls to one side when accelerating hard. When the car is raised, I measure THREE different heights at the 4 wheels (tire top to fender edge) The difference between the highest and the lowest corner is 1.5 inches!!! Any thoughts? Bad suspension valve module? Lacking strut calibration after installation? Past frame damage?
Hi, sadly I can't explain the issue but you can't measure the suspension raised, only when it's on level ground. If they're off when on the ground then the suspension will require calibration to the correct height for each corner.

Thank you for the amazing video , 2007 gt I have same issue I took it to the mechanic he's getting it checked , hoemuch do these pumps run for new or used ?
Hi John, The car had been sitting for almost a year, as there's a W12 engine in the front thus making the front heavier than the rear, the rubber airbags in nature are porous just like car tyres, so some of the air escapes over time. The front had dropped slightly, when the car had been started the compressor kicked in and the front valves open to lift the car, the lack of compressed gas - due to a worn pump caused what ever air was left in the bags to fill the expansion reservoir deflating the bags further. The car was doomed not to lift the minute it started. The car has been back several times since and it's still working and the front hasn't dropped. I hope this made some sense! We see the same thing on Q7's and alike. Thanks for commenting and watching 👍

@@melsmotors the gods must be mad at me. This 2012 was sitting low in the front only. When I removed the old pump, naturally it came down in the rear.I installed the Arnott pump and the pump is running, but the car isn't coming up. Pump runs for probably 5mins and shuts down. Any thoughts? I'm in BFE and have zero options except dragging its ass onto a flatbed and towing 250miles. Car has 13k miles and it belongs to the boss. Just trying to get him rolling again... Installed the block. Still on the ground. At least the pump runs for now. 🙄 I find it hard to believe both front struts crapped out at the same time. Might need to try swapping that control module in the trunk. Hey, where the hell is the reservoir in this thing? I've looked everywhere.
Really could use your input. I recently bought 2005 Bentley gt. Not knowing I did not put car into Jack mode and install lowering links. Now the rear is 4ins high and the front is slammed to the ground. Wondering if this is bad struts in the front due to not placing car in Jack mode?
Hi Ally, you may need to reset the ride height via a scan tool, you will probably need a measuring tape to aid in the adjustment. The lower arm sensors dictate the height of the air bags and now the heights are off. I have also seen people put the ride sensor link arms on the wrong side of the main arms. This happened to us in a Land Rover and is easily done 🥴
Thank you! Another question currently the front left and rear right are high by an inch. How would I say reset the air suspension or calibrate it back to stock? (Factory links have been put back on)
Thanks for posting this. There’s never enough Bentley stuff out there.

This has been great….exact same has just happened to my 2004 GT which I have owned 14 years ….so good to know
If the compressor is at fault, why doesn’t the rear do the same?

That's leaking front legs, very common, did a pair this week. The pump is fine! Replace the front suspension legs. 👍
Made it look so simple ! Cheers.

How do you tow or flatbed with a collapsed front suspension?
No easy way to answer that, use wood flat boards under the wheels to raise the car before loading it onto a flatbed lorry.
I am a mechanic. I have a Bentley car. Can you tell me what kind of suspension is in it and what suspension readings should I feed for programming?
@@pushnav sorry I don't quite understand the question!
What's the cost of the pump?
I can't remember, you can get these from Euro car parts and alike 👍
if this was the whole compressor issue, why only front was down?

Thanks so much for your video, my Bentley front dropped after few days not driving, but when I started engine, it goes up again, is that normal?
That is normal for it to go up, but if it goes down after a couple of days it's usually a leaking air bag!
What’s the difference when it just says level call main dealer
Not sure, need to run diagnostics on it to find out!
I have the same problem if you can help me

It gets to a point where people just have enough of the grief, most people drive at normal height anyway! 👍
What are coil overs
@bigponsellerssr.9227 I took out tge air shocks and installed regular shocks.
Do u have a link to what shocks u have and can I do that to an 04 continental

Is there not a relay or a fuse that should be checked prior to removing the pump?
