These modules are so cool! Not so many dead mosfets ;)

I can't believe you pumped over 70 volts into that little beast. Great video Leon!
it is possible with most of them, but it's the power it will withstand for 10 seconds lol
I had one running on 200vdc :)
Didnt break the unit.
Though i did some hardcore modifications to it.
Because the aliex unit is just not that great hehe
@@acidbyte4760 cool!!!! is it steve ward kinda insanity? :D though i really feel like a loser or just i dunno, because i am experimenting with those circuits for like three years at this point, and just one small one finally worked, though it gives off like a 5cm flame at 45v and 250 watts, inefficient as hell.. what was your result though?
@@dopedeala666 naa i wish. He doesnt use mosfet btw. I believe he was running either gan or sic.
@@acidbyte4760 it is sic mosfet thing, I've burnt up a damn expensive one, I don't know, maybe it's the tuning thing
I'm impressed with that little thing, even before you switched the MOSFET out, but you definitely made it way better! I'm always impressed with your skill at getting such large outputs out of such small coils. Great work, as always!
Thank you so much!!
@@Teslaundmehr Hi Leone Please tell me my power supply from 28-48 volts Is it possible to supply 30 volts at once because 15 I do not have the ability to turn the potentiometer when powered by 30 volts
It still amazes me that something can switch on and off that quickly!
Could you melt borosilicate glass with it? I'm trying to find alternative ways to blow glass and you dont need a giant flame for some projects plus I would love to see how glass with fumed metal coatings act in this flame chemistry
wow, so compact, i like it
mine is like double size, by the way, i am using the same mosfet as it was during tuning.. it didnt burn up so many of them paradoxically, unlike you and Jay, so is it sort of a success?
Yes! ;)
Would the FDA18N50 (500V D-S) Mosfet also work with it?
I've wondered if one could weld thin metal with this similar to using an acetylene torch.
Hi, good job and explanation, thanks for this. May you can let us know which mosfet you`ve used in your second run as replacement ? Difficult to see the exact type used in the video. Thanks Erich
Word of warning to all...DO NOT mess with the "primary coil" the thick coil. I bent mine "up" a bit on accident and it was like a paper fan shape and immediately ate the mosfet
I'm fascinated by tesla coils too.
What I would like to see, is an actual use for the plasma flame. Aluminum is the main fuel on the Space Shuttle, Solid Rocket Boosters. A plasma flame that vaporizes aluminum, them mixed with oxygen, could become a plasma injector. It is combustion, aluminum fuel + oxygen, initiated by plasma.
Sounds good!
That is actually used in electrothermal chemical guns, a plasma plume produced by the discharge of a capacitor bank regulates and helps burning the propellant in high performance guns. Enabling muzzle speeds of over 1700m/s with low barrel erosion and reasonable chamber pressures. It can even become the main source of energy in a gun in pure electrothermal guns, the plasma vaporizes a propellant, like high density polyethylene or some specialized propellant.
I made one many years ago, I used electrolytic capacitors for my bank and it was about 800V and stored 4KJ, as propellant i used a few drops of a jelly made with water and aluminium powder jelled with xanthan gum, it was able to shoot an airsoft bb at more than 2500m/s, it leaved small craters (about 2 times the diameter of the bb) on aluminum plates and could go thorough 2mm of steel.
Hey Leon .
"Earthquake machine". Habe aber schon was passendes gefunden. Danke dir dennoch
Tiny beast🔥
Hi can thise flam used to boilling water
Can you see how many turns these two little resonatorcoils have? I built your circuit you showed us years ago but i wish i could experiment with such a little resonatorcoil. Can you tell me the diameter and number of turns on them?
Still waiting for the mosfet drivers video, please release it sooner
How do we get it 1 foot high. More mosfets or higher rating?
Can you make tesla coil directly powered by zvs step by step
Cool! Thank you for revisiting the topic! :) For how long it can run?
Maybe 2 minutes at full power
Can I use a 12v car battery to power this ?
Is there any way to use this as a off grid light source with multiple flames using multiple Tungsten tips aligned vertically as in a vertical oriented lamp ?
I think you need to build a lightsaber based on this.
That was really intresting 🤩🤩
Thanks!
Is there a way that this candle flame can be lit indefinitely, without those time limits for fear of damaging it?
Can i use it as camping stove?
I get only blinking blue LED and blinking small spark. Used 48V 1A and 3A drivers.
That is very impressive. How dangerous is the output? I know it will burn you but would you get shocked if you touched it with a metal rod?
Nope, no shocks. Just RF burns
Why does this work when the secondary coil is not close to the primary coil (as usually done for most Tesla coils I've seen)? Like you show in around 2:00 of video. Thanks
Because it does work like a tesla coil.
Does the plasma flame consume a high amount of current? Or is the effect mainly generated by frequency?
2-4A~
That was a great video.
Do you think Its possible to turn this into a handheld device with a lithium battery?
Or would the coil that produces the flame interfere with the other Part ?
It needs a lot of current and voltage.
Desde argentina, hola como estas? me encantan tus inventos, me gustaria un dia de estos si podes, hacer una mini bobina de tesla las que largan rayos muy largos. gracias
thanks for the video
No Problem!
Nice 😀😀👍
Thank you Steve!!
Danke
isnt this like a micro-tesla coil??
Hi, thank you very much, Dad, for the videos you are making. I wanted to make a Tesla, but I am in a country where I can not buy it from your site due to sanctions. Can you help me?
What unfortuinate country is that if I may ask?
How would the flame look with 200Mhz or 1Ghz or 1Thz?
At 200M or 1G you'd get quite a similar discharge. At 1THz you're into the long IR, and at these frequencies the strange RF electrical effects cease to occur. The wavelength at these frequencies is too small
@@inductivelycoupledplasma6207 how do you know that?
@@PlasmaPro8 a quick Wikipedia search on what range "RF" covers will quickly confirm this. RF ceases at 300GHz. Perhaps you'd still get some of these effects at 1THz, but I don't know if you can even design circuits at this frequency.
Dope
Very cool⚡⚡👍
Thanks!!!

Hey,
