@@nlove9779 wow how awful..yea it was a flash flood evidently which means it hit fast and it was dark so I don't think she intentionally drove into high waters at all..we had a horrible horrible flood not too long ago and a man was driving..the water didnt look deep in the slightest and wasn't raging on the surface..he was seen driving one second and then he was just gone...the road had washed out and no one even knew and his car went into like 8 feet of water..it was so insane and incredibly sad..this whole thing makes my heart ache..she should have at least been met with comfort and kind words in what would be her last moments..instead she apologised and was ridiculed even while she was screaming in desperation in the literal final moments of her life :(

Damn I hope she pasted through that so she can feel though nerves you get when you’re in that kind of situation and when you’re a 911 call answer it means you have to have a lot of patience because you’re dealing with nervous people so if you don’t like your job leave

    • @eglol

Mia C, the dispatcher probably does not believe that she is perfect. If there is anywhere that proves that she does, besides assumptions and "average Karen data" you might have, would you please let me know where? (I'm not saying she's a Karen by the way.)

    • @Typical.Anomaly

@@eglol Her snotty attitude is indicative of her pretentiousness. "Thinking one is perfect" isn't necessarily the same from person to person. She definitely has that "I think I'm better than you" attitude though, which I feel is equivalent to "I'm PeRfEcT; yOu'Re sTuPiD" in this case.

it's frustrating when people choose the "moral high ground" over situations like this. it essentially sends a message that it's fine to do things without backlash and consequence. i don't see any problem with revenge or choosing not to forgive. in fact i believe it's healthy in most cases. to forgive in these situations is to ignore and push down feelings which is ultimately very bad for long term mental health.

If you’ve ever listened to the entire call, it is utterly heartbreaking. It is extremely hard to hear. She begged to call her mother and was told no. She asked the 911 operator to pray with her and was told no. At one point she asked how long it would take to die. Miss Stevens was an angel up until the end of her life. I wish I had known her. The world needs more wonderful, caring people like her. She is now with her beloved dog Sammy and her mother, who both passed right after she did. God bless you, Miss Stevens.

@@s_v__ I hope that this dispatcher was charged and jailed for causing the death of this woman she was supposed to be helping to live, not die!

It shouldn’t be up to us whether we would have forgiven her or not that doesn’t matter. But that they forgive her thats what matters. If this happened to you yeah you have a right to forgive them or not, but for this family its up to them if they want to forgive give her or not, and they did, and thats all that matters. Its not up to us to decide that.

@@Sirpushyou Actions speak louder than words, yes. She should be fired and arrested, yes. But by forgiving her they showed they're better than her. Being petty and hateful would make them no better than her.

The fact that the dispatcher was accepted into the Cardiovascular Technology program at Arkansas Tech and could possibly be pursuing a job in the medical field is disturbing. Imagine someone with such incredible lack of empathy is “helping” to diagnose and treat you. She shouldn’t be working in any field that involves human life.

Exactly. It's no different than letting someone who is known to have abused children become a teacher or work in a daycare. It's absolutely terrifying.

I'm not sure... but if it was me there would be only one answer, God. I would, and will, forgive those who have wronged my family, friends, and I because God forgave, and continues to forgive, me. May God have mercy on that dispatcher.

@@SaraS-jq1ln The dispatcher did make her final moments a living hell though. Instead of calming her down and assuring the victim that she'll try her best to send help. The last thing she hears is someone telling her to shut up and that she messed up big time. I hate that she even had to apologize to the dispatcher while thinking this was her fault before she died.

The misconception about forgiveness is that it's for the other person. It's not. It's for you. You can forgive someone without ever speaking to them again. Forgiveness is a choice and when we choose not to forgive, we're choosing to trap ourselves and we give power to the ones who hurt us. Forgiveness is not for the offender.
