Famidaily - Episode 0152 - Super Star Force (スーパースターフォース)

Tecmo enters the Famicom arena with a sequel to one of their games that already made it to the system. To update it for 1986, though, it's time to add some esoteric methods of progressing!
Famidaily is my attempt to catalog all of the commercially released Famicom games.

Super Xevious was about time travel, and you talked about it before this!

This is the first Famicom game I bought. I liked Star Force and was curious about its sequel. I was never able to get very far. It’s more interesting in concept than practice. I think they didn’t want to make the shooting sections as hard as the first game so the player can focus more on exploration. Not a bad idea but it ends up feeling bland as you say.

My gosh! 'Lum no Wedding Bell' was so terrible RndStranger has suppressed the memory of ever playing it!
Or it just doesn't really meet the proper definition of time travel. That could be it.

huh and I thought The Guardian Legend was the first to do the shmup/zelda combo. sounds like TGL was the better game, though.

Would you say this game is difficult to figure out or overly cryptic without a guide? I just bought the game the other day
