- Snapchat Spotlight has announced that they are paying LESS this year than any other year. More and more users have been trying to earn money by using Snapchat Spotlight - but earning has never been more difficult! If you're serious about making this a source of income you're going to have to use as many tricks and techniques to get on the good side of Snapchat as possible.
In this video, I go through my knowledge of Snapchat Spotlight and how I've seen creators earn money and things that Snapchat employees have said in podcasts.
Snapchat rewards ORIGINAL creators. People who are pillars of the community! You want to use the advice in this video to the best of your ability if you ever want to earn money from Snapchat. Snapchat are very selective about who they pay and how much they pay, so make sure you can get on their good side by building up a good reputation for yourself however possible.
I just made a new video about the best niche (video type) on Snapchat Spotlight that can help you earn the most! You can check it here: ua-cam.com/video/rlhkTjMQTB0/v-deo.html
Also Twitter has a revenue share program that is similar to Snapchat Spotlight. Though the requirements to join are a bit different. If you're interested, I did a video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/GHufmmByl1Y/v-deo.html
Hey bro, do you know if you use the sound from somebody else if you need to show this yellow @ sign or if you can make it so small that actually nobody can really see it. And also would you recommend post the videos also on Instagram etc or just on spotlight?
As for the yellow @ sign, it depends on what you're intentions are! Sometimes using other peoples sounds can help your individual spotlight get more popular if they are part of a 'trend'. Other times yes you can try to do things to hide it.
In terms of sharing to other platforms - its a good idea to try to reuse your short form content in certain ways on different platforms. However, its important to learn about each platform to make sure you're doing it in a way that will get you noticed. Like here on Spotlight you have to try to make your content unique, which might mean editing it here. You may also have to edit the same video again on instagram to make it seem like it is original to there.
So, you might use the same video but end up with versions that are all a tiny bit different because you edited them on different platforms.
@@HomeMoneyHustle thank you! I got a massage 2 weeks ago that I could get monetized so hopefully I will🙌🏼
Btw. I'm remixing content and that is how I got 80k followers, but now I try to produce completely own videos and edit them in snap so my content is unique and I also post now stories and so hopefully I will get monetized. But yeah if you have any other tips or maybe questions feel free to reach out to me
@@houseofart23 Sounds like you're doing a fantastic job! Congratulations on your work so far.
Super helpful, thanks!
Glad to hear that!
Such a great video. This is what all the other Snapchat videos are missing.
Thank you so much! I made this video because I noticed a lot of videos about Snapchat spotlight missed out on some crucial things.
Very helpful information 🔥 thanks so much
But u have a question….can i monetize satisfying short videos on Snapchat by adding captions, hashtags, filters on it…?
It all depends! Are they your original videos? I know of some creators which make 'satisfying' short form content on Snapchat spotlight, like slime and soap cutting. However, your videos might need to stand out in some way to be able to get monetized.
Also if they are other peoples videos and you are using filters and captions, its *possible* you might be able to get monetized, but the chances are smaller that way.
🙏 Thanks
Hey I’ve been posting for a long time and I have passed all the requirements and my content is original, like 2 weeks ago I received a message from Snapchat saying that my videos are performing well and that I almost made money from posting the last month and that if I kept going I might receive money the next month is that a great sign? I’ve been posting1 spotlight everyday for 2 months straight now and every one of them gets around 1k-5k views
What's your niche tho?
@@lsjanam I post drawing videos my @ is (drawings-king)
That definitely seems like a good sign! Looks like you're on the right track to growing a snapchat following.
Try posting more. I started 4 days ago and my reels are already at 66K+ per
@@GoatDrew reels?
I was remixing content and pulling a bunch of views. Not surprised they won’t be monetized.
Yep that is something I've seen a lot of people do for Snapchat Spotlight! If you can then use those views to advertise something else then you might be able to make some cash out of that.
Wait so if I remix all my content I can’t get paid?
Essentially, it will make it a lot less likely. They want unique content to the platform. However, if they deem your Spotlights high quality enough then they will give you some money.
This whole thing is rather confusing since who they give money and how much is at their own discretion.
Interesting! So Can i Ask You A Question?
So i have 6.4k followers and my channel is about fails. So will it get monetized?
Probably not I’ve tried the same niche as you but they know when the content isn’t yours , you gotta record it yourself
@@milankoutstaal5500 tho I edit it for a bit
And I try my best to make it original
@@milankoutstaal5500 I mean I started 1 month ago and I have 1.2m+ views so I think I have a chance
@@lsjanam You might be able to increase your chances if your fail montage are videos you've gathered entirely yourself, and you also add reactions or small sketches in between the fails that you have made yourself. Some other 'fail' spotlight channels have recurring characters they use to try and make their content more memorable and community focused.
Again it is a difficult one considering the fails are likely other peoples intellectual property.
How much do Top performing creators get as of right now?
Beacause there are rumours that some of them made 20k a month…
I had a look at this when making the video and couldn't find anything reliable. The truth is that we don't really have any way to tell exactly how much top creators are earning because we rely entirely on self-reporting.
On UA-cam, you can calculate how much someone is making from ads based on their view count. However, since on Snapchat the amount they give is essentially 'up to them', we really don't know.
I have heard of people making 20k a month, but again this is from people telling us how much they earn.
@@HomeMoneyHustle hmm okay, thanks for the quick answer, keep up the good work!
@@Malterdingen Thank you very much!
Bro i have a question can i take viral video from tiktok and use my face using green screen will i get reward program
Answered in response to your other comment - but also wanted to clarify that you might be more likely to earn money if you try this on another platform, like UA-cam.
hey so i use AI voices of like carton characters to do short brain teaser games. can that be monetized
You might actually be able to monetize that! However, I would recommend you keep an eye on Snapchat's official stance on AI voices.
Right now different platforms are starting to put in different rules and regulations in regard to AI voices. Its very possible Snapchat Spotlight will follow what other platforms have been doing and add their own regulations.
@@HomeMoneyHustle alright thank youu
@@mooshu96 happy to help :)
Bro, how many videos do you recommend to post a day in Snapchat spotlight?
I would recommend one, but the main thing is considering how many 'quality' videos can you even make per day? If you set the bar too high, you may easily burn out. It also may take a while before videos start getting traction, so if you are dedicating a lot of time without any reward that can be a difficult place to be in.
@@HomeMoneyHustle Thank you for response
Well Saïd bro
Thank you very much!
