I just flew Breeze out of Alabama to Las Vegas on the A220 model plane last week. They had literally taken possession of that plane a week and a half before I flew on it. It was very clean and nice features that I’ve not seen provided on other airliners. The service was impeccable & planes were always on time, no delays. In this economy, the fact that I can fly round trip to Vegas and back over the weekend, in their “first class” for under $400 is awesome!
Hey! Just wanted to thank you for your videos. I have had a huge fear of flying, but watching your videos made me want to try it because you make it seem so casual and, daresay, exciting and even fun. You also often fly out of my hometown airport, PIT, so your tours of the airport really helped prep me. I ended up booking a flight from PIT to CHS on Breeze, and I ended up watching this particular video like 20 times because I found it so relaxing. The flights were a success!! I am not a huge fan of the feeling of ascent, and we had "moderate turbulence" on the way home, but I survived and it was absolutely fine. I feel like I can actually explore the world now and not have to drive a million hours for a place that would be a short flight instead. So, THANK YOU for being so relaxing to watch, and for having such great videos. ❤
I flew Breeze MSY-CHS two weeks ago. I was a non-rev, as I work for another carrier, so i can't guarantee the experience would be EXACTLY the same for a revenue customer... But I found them to be great. From a revenue passenger standpoint, they were selling buy-on-board items and had a menu in the seatback pocket. They had wifi in the sense that you could connect to inflight entertainment (An OK selection at a glance, but I had already downloaded some stuff I wanted to watch), but no internet connectivity yet. From a non-rev standpoint, I liked that, due to the loads, I got a seat assignment when I checked in online (which was 24 hours prior) and they put me in a "Nicer" seat. A carrier with lots of promise that I think, despite being branded a ULCC, leans Southwest more than Spirit or Frontier.
Thank you for doing this review. My Fiancée and I are flying CHS-LAS for our honeymoon in December and were growing concerned about their performance based on other people's reviews. You, thankfully, have raised our spirits and we look forward to traveling with them this winter. Thank you for providing us the most in depth and accurate review of these guys. You've earned yourself a new subscriber
I took a flight on breeze in 2024 three months ago. They charged for the snacks, and water, but the coffee was free. I didn't buy the snacks because there a bit price. Also there's no Wifi on the plane, but that will change whenever they upgrade. The flight was very smooth with very little turbulence. I'm taking breeze again in September 2024.
I’ve flown on JetBlue’s 190 from FLL-JAX and one thing I did appreciate was the IFEs , it may have been buffering a bit but it did work perfectly for the most part
There E190's Are There Smallest and Oldest Planes They Will Be Exiting JetBlue's Fleet In 2026. There A220's Ife and Everything Else Are Much Nicer and Are Taking Over Their Fleet!
I just flew Breeze round trip last week .. in a Nicer seat CHS-MCO R/T after my first experience on Breeze last year from CHS to BDL. Breeze is polished for a new airline, the crews act like they have been there before, and the flights are mostly on time. I will continue to fly Breeze. I cannot wait to try the A220 first class product next month.. I am a Platinum on Delta, but love being able to get to Orlando nonstop from Charleston without having to make a stop in Atlanta (Lounge access makes it okay, but nothing beats a nonstop!) Fare CHS --MCO (and back) in a Nicer seat was $91. This included a checked bag. The snack service is roughly the same as you would get on a Delta flight, except you can buy more food if you want it.
Breeze will deploy a fleet of 13 E190/E195s by this summer that will link underserved cities in the Southwest, Midwest, Southeast, and Eastern US. The airline selected the Embraer airplanes for their low operating costs and ideal capacity for the markets they will serve. David Neeleman, the carrier’s CEO, says that “Breeze provides nonstop service between underserved routes across the US at affordable fares. A staggering 90% of Breeze routes currently have no airline serving them nonstop.” In a recent interview, Mr. Neeleman cited the advantages of smaller-capacity aircraft. “80% of the available seat miles in our summer schedule have no nonstop competition. So, what happens, in that case, is that you generate maybe 6, 7, 8, up to 10 times more traffic than you actually take from everyone else.” Many of Breeze’s target city pairs are those where air service was suspended, cancelled, or infrequent. The 108-seat E190s and 118-seat E195s are the right sized jets to offer point-to-point nonstop flights. Mr. Neeleman sees the new nonstops as time savers. “If you’re in a really small market … where maybe you connect through a hub and it would have taken 3 hours to get there … now we can get there in an hour and 15 minutes.” The fleet of 13 E-Jets is comprised of 3 E195s leased from Brazil’s Azul Airlines and 10 E190s leased from Nordic Aviation Capital. "And turns out, the scanners at the gate were broken". The same thing happened to some passengers in either Boston or STL airport on a Southwest flight I took in April (of this year) and they had to have paper ones printed. I usually go paper boarding pass after checking in at the kiosk in the airports anyways just in case something like this happens; I don't think I ever have used an online check in/mobile boarding pass yet. I should do that next time. I haven't flown Breeze recently/yet at all, but I'll let you know! They added a few more flights from my home airport a while back and I've always wanted to try them since last year but never had the time or chance. Also - aw, looks like I won't get to fly Aha anymore. Oh well. More room for Breeze and Avelo I guess!
Breeze is a great airline the cabin is great since all of the seats have chargers. The only complaint is have is the landing. The landing at my vacation spot was really hard and I think the plane bounced. The one at home however was a little better but that is the only complaint I have
If you haven't checked out Charleston before you should fly down there again and do it! My best friend lives there and its very historic and has 5 beaches to choose from!
I haven't actually heard of this carrier before, but looks really smart, and perfectly kitted out from the POV of being a 'budget' option - well captured mate!
I work for a contractor that serviced AHA, (We work with about 4 other airline’s at my station) we all made bets on how long it would take for them to file for bankruptcy and sure enough I walk in to the operations center one day and all that was left of AHA was a piece of paper saying they went bankrupt. They didn’t even set up a number you could call, you could only dispute it with your bank. All equipment that they gave us was immediately shipped away within 48hrs to sell off I guess. Overall it’s one of the least favorite airlines I’ve been a part of servicing😂
I flew breeze from Tampa to Richmond recently, in the new Nicest seat. I got a complimentary Granola bar and Bottle of water. I was in the new A220, so there was no Wi-Fi yet, but you were able to purchase additional snacks if you wanted to
The last video you flew Southwest and wore a Breeze Airline mask. This video you flew between Pittsburgh and Charleston and wore a Santa Rosa California airport mask. Chris, you are such a rebel!.....LOL 😃
Loving your facemask! Looks like some sort of Charles Shultz drawing--where did you obtain it? Hard to believe that there is enough demand from residents of Pittsburgh for Qatar to have service. What company flies that unpainted A-340? Wondering why you left so late in the day? Guessing you have a personal space issue what with you moving up a row or two.
I remember being at TPA during Breezes first flight. I wasn't on it unfortunately, but all the staff seems so nice, they all had a smile on their face, (noticeable all through their masks) and no passenger that I saw was sad tired or anything like that. customer service goes a long way.
Sept 2022 Breeze food situation: Nicer passengers get a bottle of water and a snack. Nicer passengers have the same unless the flight duration is longer than 4 hours.. then Nicer passengers can select whatever drink they want (including alcohol) and one snack off the buy menu. Food is available for purchase.. $4 for snacks, $8 for snack packs.. Sodas are $3.50. A drink and snack together is discounted to $7. There are 4 bundles available that average $1 or $2 in savings over buying them individually. Drinks are full cans with a cup and ice provided. Snacks are "share" size.
I have yet to see the non-stop from CHS to LAS actually fly. I booked it a couple months ago and was soon moved to a Breeze Thru flight through RSW, almost double the flight time. I’m looking forward to the trip this weekend, but don’t like getting the ‘bait and switch’ routine.
Well Breeze was founded by David Neeleman wich already created other 4 air companies MorrisAir, WestJet, JetBlue, and Azul Linhas Aéreas, according to Skytrax 2021 they occupy the 53º,32º, 47º, respectively (MorrisAir does not exist anymore), so experience and business model are already there, Azul is an excellent hit by him in Brazil always competing within the top spot with Latam currently 45º, Breeze is very similar to Azul, I guess it's a rebranded Azul for nom Latin countries (Azul logo is Brazil map).
I flew an E190 from JAX to PHN, and the flight got delayed 3 hours and then just canceled entirely. The next flight was at 9:00 AM the next day, but that was delayed an hour. The plane was nice , but the wait was not good
Breeze has nice employees and seems to be the same as other ultra lost cost carriers, but I’ve had some real issues with them delaying flights. That was a couple years ago and don’t know if anything’s changed
So, I flew Breeze last month from CHS-TPA on the A220 in nicest class. They made me pay for my soda, but we did get a granola bar and water for free. I was told that nicer and nice classes must pay for everything
I believe that breeze airways begun their service in San Francisco recently this year. I haven’t checked it out but would like to at some point. Love your content. Been following your vid’s for 2years
You said it was one of the best flights you ever had. The best flight I have ever had was on West Jet's low cost subsidiary Swoop from Abbotsford to Toronto and return and only $69 Cdn each way.
One flight I was on, my window seat was next to the most unfriendly looking dude ever. The moment that the boarding ended, he got up and sat somewhere else and I had the row to myself :) it was nice.
Anything planned for Avelo again?! Maybe you can checkout their new route this Fall. Newport News, VA (PHF) - Orlando, FL (MCO). So happy to be seeing a new airline like Avelo coming to my hometown airport. American is the only airline currently still operating there after Delta left. Maybe I’ll see you on the inaugural flight?! Haha.
I’m just glad they are using Newport News. That airport has been struggling lately because we have international airport nearby that people fly out of. Breeze is at that one. Might breath new life into it
I Am Absolutely Most Definitely Thinking About Traveling With Breeze Airline’s Whenever I Do Go On Vacation Trip’s With My Friend’s In The Future And I Also Absolutely Wish That Breeze Airlines Had Flight’s To And From Houston Texas To Other Parts Of The United States And Canada And Mexico And The Caribbean And Central America As Well Too Now!!! And Also Much Love To All Of Y’all From Houston Texas Too!!!
i just flew breeze non-stop from Hartford CT. to Las Vegas on one of the A320 or A300. The flight to Vegas was a first flight of the day, so the plane was clean. The plane boarded on time, and take off was a few mintes early. I had the "nicest" package for both flights. Seat 1A to, seat 2A retrning. The flight to arrived abot 30 mintes early. No wi-fi yet, bt they stated they are adding it to every plane by end of 2024. (take notice, Southwest!) Overall, wold I fly them again? yes, bt only with the "nicest" package. To me, the extra cost (and leg room) makes it worth it.
Im doing that same flight in july! Never heard of breeze til just recently and theres no other non stop flights nearby so i think driving hour and half to hartford for non stop ans cheaper flights is worth it!
I enjoyed this video as always. There is one suggestion I have for your future videos. Before you switched formats, you used to have intro music that I had a blast listening to (a rock-style tune with the violin flipping up and down). Do you think you can bring that intro music back when you switch your format to on-camera vlogs? I strongly prefer your new format overall, but I still miss the intro music you used to use. Perhaps your future intro can consist of that music with a montage of you performing your hobbies.
There's another video about this airline that was released a few days before yours, it seems like that flight only had a pitiful buy on board menu with prices somewhere between convenience store and hotel minibar. I always brought my own snacks anyways lol so this is the one newer airline that goes to my airport, so I also hope they succeed. :)
DearJazzguy thank you for such a good video...In many ways, you've become some sort of "coach" and I am grateful. If you are ever back in Washington DC, I would very much like a chance to shake hands and meet personally... May G_d bless you and your family & friends...You are a great guy...Take care!
I have a flight in mid September that leaves from their newest location from pvu so I will have to leave to update on the condition and how they operate from a new airport
Flew Breeze from Hartford, CT to Vero Beach, FL. You need to pay for all snacks and drinks. No more water bottles. You will get a cup of free water when you are asked.
Not sure i would have called Aha! new, but im not really surprised. If only Expressjet would have realized that basing a route network on the E145 would make it extremely difficult to make money.....oh wait
I’ve flown Breeze and Avelo recently to CT from Raleigh and back. Avelo is the winner for me. The Breeze employees I encountered were rude and the plane we were on was filthy and old. Avelo staff has been amazing, flights are on time/early and planes have been comfortable and clean.
Qatar flies into Pittsburgh? That's like Brit Airways flying into Phoenix. Why? Are there that many Pennsylvanians wanting to go to Doha? Always good videos.
Snacks and drinks on Breeze. Nice seats are buy on board. Nicer seats free snack. Water is free, other drinks are available for purchase. Nicest seats for flights under 4 hours free snack and drinks are available for purchase. Nicest seats over 4 hours everything is free including upgraded snack and alcohol. YMMV as sometimes they hand out snacks in all classes.
I just flew Breeze out of Alabama to Las Vegas on the A220 model plane last week. They had literally taken possession of that plane a week and a half before I flew on it. Breeze looks like a pretty good airline. I love their livery.
Yeah, they are different for sure.
Me too. The livery is so different and cool

I’m flying breeze in 2 days, I know we have red seats, but wish they had screens in the back of the seats.
This the first time I’ve seen something about breeze. Good job. Not a bad flight
The plane looks great
Finally a KSTS person, it’s an amazing little airport, perfect for plane spotting!

I cannot wait to fly them out of SYR. They have non-stops to CHS and LAS and I believe both operate with their new A220's.

Im doing that same flight in july! Never heard of breeze til just recently and theres no other non stop flights nearby so i think driving hour and half to hartford for non stop ans cheaper flights is worth it!
smoth landing
PIT is comically huge, also kinda looks like a mall from the mid 90s
It used to be a hub for USAir.
Surprised David Neeleman did not put in TV's in his planes, like he did with JetBlue
Hopefully we get a new legacy airline in the future
I was gonna name my airline when I’m older Breeze airlines but i can’t
DearJazzguy thank you for such a good video...In many ways, you've become some sort of "coach" and I am grateful. If you are ever back in Washington DC, I would very much like a chance to shake hands and meet personally... May G_d bless you and your family & friends...You are a great guy...Take care!
I have a flight in mid September that leaves from their newest location from pvu so I will have to leave to update on the condition and how they operate from a new airport
I wish Breeze Airways the best of luck!
Can you fly avelo again
Min 12:45 what type of AIr craft was that?
4 engines? Looks like a 707 but I doubt it
Can some one tell me please
Would love to fly Breeze from PIT but currently no flights to Florida or Denver 😟
Too bad Breeze dropped San Antonio... low load factors, but hope to fly with them soon.
Looks like breeze !!!
I never heard you say PLEASE OR THANKYOU to the staff. Something to work on.
Nice airline
I’ll be flying with Breeze next month, I’ll be sure to let you know about the snacks.
I also would have moved seats, away from a guy. Nice plane, attractive & appropriate color interior scheme
Flew with them last week gave out small water and snack bar. You have to pay for the rest great airlines flew from Tampa to Huntsville.
Thx for the info! Guess they finally started doing what they said they'd do
I’ve flown Breeze and Avelo recently to CT from Raleigh and back.
It’s for cargo, not passengers, and it’s partially subsidized as of right now. BA does fly into PIT, though, with nonstop service to LHR.
Hey Jazzguy13, Do you think Avelo will survive?
never heard of it, thanks.
Hopefully Breeze Airways flies to Omaha someday
the a220's are nice
Qatar Airways at Pittsburgh?
It's one of their cargo only flights. They started the service to PIT back in 2017.
What was up with that all white A340? Charter?
