However, I'm now considering changing my diploma program to one of the prioritized programs like skilled trades or child care to improve my chances of obtaining permanent residency. Is it possible to switch from my current two-year diploma program to a one-year or two-year diploma program in one of these prioritized fields? And how will this change affect my study permit?

Before I request a PAL, could I change my offer (accept a new offer within 2 days?)

This will eventually helps in easing PR pathways for students in future too as their ONIP has streams based on specific in demand jobs and even specific graduate programs such as masters, PhD . So I believe they are going to allocate this by foreseeing the future PR pathways & draws. If a student is serious enough to plan well from start of study to work then eventually he will end up get an easy PR through PNP programs in any province.

Yes i have the offer letter but we have 2 denies this time with an inmigration consultant trying to be positive!
@@yenlycam1 ohh, I think the PAL is a compulsory document for study visa in Canada from May...so with that document you might get through. They have made the PAL announcement in Ontario last week so hopefully we'll all get it soon. All the best with your next try!
Also, I've applied and gotten through the interview for the film program myself for sep 24 intake but they told me they're gonna hand out the offer letter and PAL document together. Which is why I asked whether you received yours. Where are you applying from btw?
