He constantly and graciously deflects praise and attention for himself. It's clear he believes that Timothee was the star of Call Me By Your Name. I think as beloved as this film is, as meteoric and stunning at Tmmy's rise is, Armie Hammer delivered a performance that no one else could have done. He performed that role with so much humanity and with a grace and paradoxical self-consciousness that must come from himself. It would be so wonderful to see him work with Luca Guadagnino again because I think the two of them had something very special.
