Hey Doc! what shoes are you wearing?
The new TYR DropZero barefoot shoe I helped design: www.tyr.com/footwear/barefoot
Is there a issue with the Barefoot brand you promoted and I bought on your recommendation?@@SquatUniversity
@@SquatUniversity hey if I want visible and usable abs is this enough or do I have to also do other exercises like leg raises
Dang, I can barely hold 5 second side plank.
@@miker9825 tbh I don’t think many people think of this so the fact that you’re doing it I would say you’re ahead
The best fitness channel! Especially if avoiding injury is important to you! 😊
and mario rios
I wouldn't call it a fitness channel, as it's not showing fitness routines. IMO it's much more important, it's a treasure!
Honored - thanks for watching my video today!
Him knees over toes bill maeda and stay flexy are my favorite UA-cam fitness channels
i fukn love injuries 😂❤
direct, no bs, appreciated
Glad you liked this shorter one
You don't even realize it but you are a light of knowledge in the fitness and health world.
Thank you sincerely.
seeing as he has beat 3.5 million subscribers and gets these comments daily, I think he does lil bro
I love the collaboration with Brian Carrol and/or Stuart McGill. THanks for the good content!
I'm glad you're enjoying those!
Thank you for doing a quick video, I can't stand it when creators make a video unnecessarily long.
This is the best fitness channel I found . Your advices are best and it really helped me.
I was not able to fix my squat and deadlift. After watching your tutorials my form got way better and I saved my spine
I love this channel! You actually care about the viewers and their health. So much valuable informations and techniques to not just get better in the gym, but in life! Big thank you from Germany 👌🏼
I love this! I am already doing all these but never thought to switch sides on a side plank while elevated. I so appreciate all your videos!! Thank you!
He's just the best. Thank you for all these videos. They are changing my life❤
A good advanced variation on the side plank is to lift the top leg in the air so you're supporting with only one leg.
This channel is straight gold for information been working through a lot of the channels exercises hips knees shoulders. It’s long but I got my abs back !!!
lets go finally core workout video. gotta be a very strong man.
Really love how the channel focuses on a lot of aspects of fitness and biology that others overlook.
I've had back pain for almost 6 years and your videos have really helped!
I'm glad to help!
@@SquatUniversityplease make a franchise that extends to Europe.

Killer finisher!!
One of my top 3 UA-camr go to fitness channels. I've learned so much from you. I apply it to my workouts and it's helped me so much. Thank you 💪
What are the others 2?
@@krishsingh3268
1. Squat university
2. Jeremy Either (built by science)
3. Garage Strength
I use others but these are my go to fitness channels. Each has their specialty.
I've been doing a kettlebell racked carry and it has really helped me.
I’m 60 years old man! I like your teaching and coaching. Thanks!
Thank you for the excellent content you provide 👍🏾
You're welcome!
I tried some of these at the gym, I liked those exercise. Let's see the progress in the future.
This guy is the best
the only channel that i have a bell activated for, i would really appreciate if you can give us some exercices for people who have a shoulder issue and thats coming from volleyball
Much appreciated❤
Thank u for this video, it's very helpful.
Thank you! Perfect timing 😊
Youre welcome
Doing side planks on concrete is… a decision 😂.
(I love suitcase carries since i saw them on your channel. So brutal and i love them)
Amazing job! Love your work Doc! If anyone wants to go a little bit more harder you can do stir the pot with one leg up and the side plank with your point to ground(elbow) on the med ball. That will burn you, work your balance and really make you core functional. Again love your work from Argentina!
As a natural donkey that takes his health and fitness seriously I needed this so thank you.
Thank you!
Love this.
Thank You!
Keep Going!

All about this! Thank you 🔥💯
You're welcome! Glad you liked this one
I have started practicing farmer carries, this looks nice to put on the end of those days.
I’m sensing a JRE episode with this guy soon!
This is excellent advice for all athletes out there 😅....
strengthen your core and increase your technique in your basic movements - that will bring you to the next level 🎉😊😊😊😊
I like this guy 💯
great, thank you!
I love this channel
excellent video cant wait to try this out!
Thank you! Have fun!
Thx u sir
Bro do a video just like this but for legs and arms. You just changed my life
I'll see what I can do!
You heard of 8 minute abs? This is gonna blow that thing out of the water. Listen to this:
7 minute abs
Front leaning rest position!
Personally I like to do a mix of dynamic and stability exercises like:
Weighted Carry
Push Up Planks
Side Planks
Copenhagen Planks
Ab Wheel
Hanging Leg Raises
Russian Twist
Modified Candlestick
Great video!
I’ve been doing planks, sit ups, Russian twists but nothing made me stronger/more sore than stir the pot. Must do.
😊
Just what I was looking for. I am getting bored doing the Big 3 and need some variety.
Hey man. I've been watching a lot of your videos, and it really helped me improve on my squat form and such. Recently, I've really seen a lot of your core exercises, and I was wondering if it would bring out your sixpack as well. It's well documented that your core exercises are practical, but will my abs come in nicely as well?
Awesome videos ❤🎉
thanks doc
You're welcome!
Thanks!
You're welcome!
Thanks Doc! Can you please cover how to squat with knee valgus?
i do suitcase carries, but bend sideways 4 side raises
really useful tbh
At 75 I am implementing this workout and other Squat U workouts into by Break 75 Golf Workouts.
Goals Reconsideration.
Toes to the bar and dragon flag tutorial/how to pls
What I miss most from wrestling is Plate walks. We would hold a weight over our head and do a lap around the 2nd floor of the school
So grateful for your work!
Thank you for watching the videos I make! I'm glad youre enjoying them!
I recommend your videos quite often to my students. They are learning to soften and relax, but that's part of good structure and balanced strength. Gotta have both qualities to be healthy, and you are awesomely helpful to all of us! @@SquatUniversity
this is so useful thank you!
- i also wanted to ask about a back injury of mine, i fell on my lower back 6 months ago, and the pain ended up going away after an hour or so, so i didn't get checked. A few months later the pain came back briefly then went away again, now i have been experiencing the same pain except its lasting quite a long time, im doing back relief excercises which are helping alot, I've tried your big 3 excercises but sadly didnt help much.
some extra details: my lower back cracks after sitting for roughly 30 min, and when i lay on my bed with my legs still on the floor my back tends to hurt (probably because of it straightening)
- what can i do? And whats the cause of this pain?
Thank you for reading this. I would appreciate if people like this comment so that it can be the top for the channel to see it.
Really like your Channel functionalnand versátil e congrats
Hey love your videos!! What type of study did you do to obtain all this knowledge. Physiotherapy?
hi. love your channel and want to thank you for all the free resources you're giving to people helping them be happy and healthy
somebody wanted to send you a video from Dr Karan to react to aboutbeing barefoot because we found it rather abhorrent because of it misleading people to think being barefoot causes deformities and infection. I cannot link in comments but I trust it will be easy to find the short on UA-cam
Can you do information about lifting with hernias - specifically about Hiatal hernias ?
The new u bell that's an advertisement if ever I heard one 😂
Have carried many groceries, can confirm this is the way to a six-pack.
I wonder where you can find 3D models with force vector graphics like the one at 0:46? It would be so helpful in finding out which muscles are activated.
another great abs exercise is upside down hanging crunches
I’m on the ball thing; thanks! BTW, a full yoga side plank is done with straight arms, weight on one palm, and the other arm extended skyward. It’s like night and day between it and the beginner versions you show.
Subscribed!
Thank you for the content! well, i have trouble doing side planks on the left side due a nerve damage in my shoulder blades, can you tell me a substitute for side plank please?
Can you do videos on loss of lower lordosis. Please
I did sandbag (30kg when I can deadlift 90kg for 3 reps) offset shoulder carry single set as finisher everyday. Now my back is busted doctor diagnosed spasm in erector spinae. My mobility is severely limited and it caused injury in my Achilles tendon too because bending knee and getting knee over toe is impossible for me right now. 😔 Working out at home is unsafe if you try new stuff it seems no matter how much material you look up in the internet. I know it's my mistake to overdo. But I never thought that small volume would be too much and it would show such long term damage and pain. 😢
🔥✨
Could you do this after every workout instead of just every squat workout?
Dr just wanted to know, if you have any video when it comes to hip rotation? Every time I do kettlebell with side to side rotation my lower back hurts. I am assuming my hips are stiff?
Great stuff. 👍👍👍🗽🗽🗽🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
When you say after deadlift or squat days, do you mean do them immediately after you squat, or the next day?
Doc, I have hyper mobile joints. Is it safe for me to lift. I've been looking forward to join a gym!
Where do you train? I’d love to meet you I have been watching for a while and could those expertise of yours on my workout journey.
Dont expect an answer for this but ill shoot my shot, do you have any videos on thoracic outlet syndrome or could you possibly do a video on it?
Any recommended exercises for a pelvic tilt? Done some research and belt squats are apparently good as the weight is below the spine rather than above and compressing , going to start giving these a go is there anything else I can do?
For the suitcase carry, how much weight should we aim for?
hey doc! what about the spinal core muscle?
Any recommendations on how to fix a huge imbalance between right and left side on the weighted carries?
Doc, is is this OK for martial arts as well? Not sure as it involves much more movement around the core.
Great beginner and advanced versions with Brian Carroll, any reason the bird dog was left out?
Isnt the suitcase carry and the side plank working the same plane of motion? Shouldnt we do some antirotation?
Hey Doc, I have a question. I have a lot of neck pain on my right side and stiff upper back. I dont have any tingling sensation down my arm so I dont think its a nerve. Should I see a doctor or is it just low trap issue? Its been lasting for 2 years.
With the first exercise would it be better to extend your arm fully or does it not matter?
Is keeping core tight same as bracing or do we just need to pull it in to make it tight?
So only do one side on the suitcase walk then ball then plank or do both sides of the suitcase walk then ball n plank?
Should I do that after a workout in the gym, before or as an independent workout and don't mix it with strength training???
Hey. Im very green when it comes to fitness and I havent even begun to actually train in boxing but id like to start. I was curious because what i see in boxing is the torso twisting for punches and i have to ask. Is core stability going to decrease my performance as a boxer? Id love to implement the core stability excersises ive seen on your channel for daily living and functionality but for boxing it seems i should do the opposite. If i am wrong please enlighten me.
