Hello and thank you for watching and your kind words 💙💜😇 We are the same...with lines such as "back in the 90s before the internet and smart phones" which is quite often met with a sigh and an eye roll😆 We love showing them "vintage" stuff from that era and getting their take on it.
The funny thing about the 'Piracy is a crime' video that was at the start of rented or purchased DVDs is that the music they used for it was recorded by Dutch musician, Melchior Reitveldt, for an anti-piracy ad, with the strict proviso that this music would be played only and exclusively at a local film festival. Mr. Reitveldt wrote the music, it was played, he got paid and all was well. But then, in 2007, he bought a Harry Potter DVD and to his surprise, there was his music in the anti-piracy ad at the beginning. His composition had been taken and used without his permission. In fact, it had been illegally used on dozens of movie DVDs, both in Holland and overseas. I turned out that the anti piracy people were pirating his music all along.
