    Wow, this is a fantastic tutorial. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. I recently published a video on my channel showcasing five natural wonders of Puerto Rico. In this video, I worked with cameras such as GoPro Hero 10 & Max 360 and drone footage from Skydio2.
    I had difficulty color-grading these clips because of the inconsistency in the scenes they were shot.
    Now that I see your workflow and the flexibility DR18 gives you to group certain camera types, it will be more accessible to color-grade future projects.
    Thanks again! 🤙

    Excellent video Alex - as always! I am planning a credits video for my channel and since I learned a lot here, I would like to mention you there. Would it be ok if I used some short snippets from your channel for this?

    I have to say man I appreciate the videos you do! I found you a couple of days ago and am now a subscriber. The videos are great quality and I feel that you do an amazing job explaining concepts in an easy to understand manner. I do have a question, are these groups that you make specific to a single timeline or do they carry over from project to project? Basically what I’m asking is if I make a group that is labeled xyz camera outside, will that group name carry over to another project and all I have to do is just add the clips to the group or do I have to make new group names each project?

    Thanks so much for this video Alex, I was about to email you this exact question! I have enjoyed your courses and needed this one tweak.
    I am usually working with Multicam footage. Is there any way to automatically group all the clips from a given angle? Or would it be simpler to do the color grade within the timeline of the Multicam Clip itself rather than in the timeline with the angle edits? I've tried doing that but it's difficult to use the viewer to make comparisons since all the tracks are stacked and it only shows the top most track.
    I guess it's not that hard to select all the clips you want to group, just figured it's worth asking if there is an automatic way to set it up.

    You made this quite clear. My limited knowledge of how the node order affects the image made me reluctant to use groups. There is, however, another question: do nodes on an adjustment clip come first, before all other nodes? (I think so, though I'm not sure...)

    Really inciteful. Did not know about this capability. It would be great for you to demonstrate this in a real application. In other words how do you integrate this into your workflow? What steps do you do pre clip and post clip? Good excuse for another video 😀Many thanks!

    Is there any way to add clips to a group directly from edit page? I tried working with groups recently but i bumped into a problem with quick identifying clips in the color page that should be assigned to a certain group. So i basically coloured them different way for each group but color tab shows colored clips by a little dot which is hard to see and I had to swipe around and search for that little thing.
    Any advices?

    I just use shared nodes on all my clips that I want graded the same from the same camera. I put the clips from the same camera in their own row in the timeline. To see them all only in Fusion or the colour page I just disable all the other lines.

    A lot of us are using iPhones as second cameras nowadays do you have a tutorial video on how to colour grade iPhone footage Davinci resolve?

  • @sammorganmoore
    @sammorganmoore Рік тому

    ive alsways thought that the second option should not be 'add this node(s) to whole timeline' but 'add node(s) to whole track' as then you could but your logos on track thee your 709 camera on strack 2 and log camera n track one (for example) and never appy a lut to your graphics etc. - what do you think?
