I don't think this romanticizes violent relationships. If anything, The Vampire Diaries does that on it's own. But there's no use pretending that violent relationships, on TVD and otherwise, aren't shipped or loved. Klaus and Caroline, for example. Christian and Anastasia, from Fifty Shades. It has to do with societies expectations of women and the hidden need in everyone to witness something really fucked up. Add in sex and you've got the formula down. I'm not going to lie and say I don't enjoy Kai and Bonnie's chemistry just so it seems as though I'm taking the high road. A high road doesn't exist when it comes to fictional characters on a show notorious for pulling the rug from under our feet. This video is amazing and it accurately captures the facet of their relationship that is most demented and appealing. I love it very much.

Hum, I was talking about this video and not the show but okay. I never even talked about Klaus and Damon, I was specifically talking about this particular video, when it was made we didn't even know by that time he would try to kill Bonnie and linked her to Elena. The vidder understood my comments, you took my words wayyy too much to heart. Re-read it, I said, I didn't ship it and "in this vid" they were fucked up, and Kai was more crazy there than in actual canon (hum I mean it was before he got stucked in the other prison world and shit sooooo...). Then the author said she made them darker so... You don't need to explain to me Kai's manpain and how he deserved redemption, I just don't understand that need people have for those redemption arc to make them more bearable and act like all the shit they pull have to be forgiven...I don't even like Klaus and think his relationship with Caroline made him weak. Damon is a joke when he try to pretend he is a nice person, we know and he knows he isn't one. And saying I didn't ship it didn't mean I the time I hated it, let's be real I didn't thought that much about the ship, they had chemistry and was okay. You won't see me watch a video about a ship I hate, it makes no sense. So, I don't want to be mean or anything but ok you disagree but still, my comment were made during season 6 about this Alternate Universe in this particular video where Bonkai looks like a glorify Stockholm Syndrome relationship. I simply said that. But I still found the vid amazingly made, the visuals are great.
i have to agree on this, i did in fact make this video into a much darker story, where kai is a very controlling and abusing boyfriend, it doesnt really have much to do with the show but it rather follows the lyrics of the song. i ship them in the show 100% but theres no need to argue about it in the comments, everyone has their own opinion of the ship and of the video itself :)
There must be something REALLY wrong with me to have actually LIKED this video. They are NOT my OTP... Bonnie & Enzo are. But in all fairness, this video is great, and the music that you selected for it put it over the top. Don't get me wrong... Kai is HOT 🔥🔥🔥. If he wasn't a psychopath, I would say there would've been some possibilities; because you can definitely tell that there's a mutual attraction. But in the end , their chemistry was more toxic/lethal than what she could deal with. Like the old saying goes... "Everything that looks good,ain't good for you".😕
