Parikshit sahnis command over urdu is fantastic. Balraj sahni his father was even better.In fact all actors who came from 1947 to 1973 ( from dilip kumar to amitabh) had excellent command over urdu language . Even Amitabh whose mother tongue is hindi , has great understanding of urdu. In fact he has command over every language hindi urdu english.Everyone....devanand raj kapoor Dharmendra raj kumar manoj kumar rajendra kumar Ashok kumar had excellent urdu command. Even heroines like Rekha raakhi waheeda mumtaz sharmila tagore zeenat parveen ...everyone. Now every hero heroine has convent accent...they neither have complete command over hindi( they speak like any other man on the roadside) english( they have collegial English with fillers like- " I mean" " I think" " touch wood" " but" " yaaa") or urdu ( they don't have any knowldege -kaaf and qaaf is same for them, they pronounce" phool" as "fool" . This is the reason why the time of powerful dialougue delivery is gone. Only shahrukh and aamir have excellent communication in current actors. Yes Ompuri naseeruddin and anupam also. Even salman khan doesnot carry punch in his dialogues. He speaks tuti phooti english ....ordinary hindi .Hardly knows urdu ..unlike his dad Saleem... And those who clap for salman are generally born after 1990...where importance of language deteriorated.

Kishore kumar se kayi saalon pehle rafi sahab ne yodeling ki thi, lekin wo gaane hit nahi the, jis wajah se audiences ko ye laga ki sirf kishore kumar hi yodeling kr sakte hain baki koi nahi.
Kishore was a greater all round artist . Mohammed rafi was a greater singer. There were phases. Between 1952 to 1970 mohammed rafi was number 1. Mukesh number 2. Kishore kumar number 3 ( mostly sang only for devanand). 1970 to 1980 kishore kumar number 1 ( due to emergence of rajesh khanna and amitabh...and devanand still going strong. R.D burman was the pillar behind kishoresahab success).In 1980 Mukesh and rafi both had expired. So kishore kumar ruled from 1980 to 1985...till his death. If he was still alive , no body could have overtook him because after Rafi Mukesh kishore.....no singer could come even close. In popularity of masses kishore is more popular, in those who have deep understanding of music and range and those who are learning music as a profession mohammed rafi is more polular.
Among the present playback singers, uddit Narayan is the best.
