like Nightmare on elm street.It's a pretty typical summer at Crystal Lake. There's a group of happy children staying in the Camp. You and your six Camp Counselor friends are watching over the kids while enjoying the lake and the wilderness. The days are bright and sunny. The nights are cool and clear. And Jason is on a rampage.It's up to you to stop him, but it's not going to be easy. You must first fight your way through forests filled with man-eating wolves, caves covered with blood sucking bats and hordes of mindless zombies everywhere you turn. You must also help any friend who is in danger, or else you can just kiss them goodbye
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
for the rest of the game.And hiding in a cabin or staying adrift in a canoe won't keep you safe - Jason will find you anywhere. The only way to survive this summer is to challenge Jason face to face, and destroy him.Players control one of six camp counselors (each with varying levels of speed and jumping ability) in a side-scrolling perspective. The counselors start with an arcing rock attack. The goal is to find and defeat Jason Voorhees three times. Along the paths, players will find cabins, a lake, caves and wooded areas with all but the cabins having enemies such as zombies, crows,and wolves attacking the player randomly on the
map and drop random items.Players may upgrade their weapon upon finding a new one. A timed alarm appears at certain intervals, requiring players to find Jason before he kills one or more children or another counselor. Using the map, players must navigate their way to Jason's location or switch to the counselor being attacked and defeat him. If they do not make it there in time, Jason will kill the counselors or some of the children.In June 2013, the National Entertainment Collectibles Association released an exclusive figurine of the video game-style Jason with the turquoise and purple color palette to go along with their.
This was terrifying to play as a kid. I wouldn't play for very long because the music walking through cabins and having jason show up around a corner was too much.
Very sorry for your loss, John.
Sorry for your loss
@@carlosrines1901 Thank you so very much. Its sometimes odd what makes us remember certain things like that song they play with the game. The song is nothing special at all but for me it take me back to a time of much happiness 💖🤟
I remember playing this game as a kid. It was so scary when Jason would suddenly appear.
Yup, now I’m 34 and this brings lots of memories.
That cabin theme is insane
@@CarnSoRaw one of my favorite games...I still have mine
Repetitive AF...but extremely nostalgic & soothing
One of my all time favorite games. The music takes you back.. it was back in the day kinda scary :) I never get tired of watching these playthroughs.
+Frank Guadiana The friday the 13th series had a strong impact on me when i was a kid. The original Friday the 13th was produced and directed by Sean S. Cunningham, who had previously worked with filmmaker Wes Craven on The Last House on the Left (1972). Cunningham, inspired by the success of John Carpenter's Halloween (1978), wanted Friday the 13th to be shocking, visually stunning, and make you jump out of your seat". Distancing himself from The Last House on the Left, Cunningham wanted Friday the 13th to be more of a "roller coaster ride".
+Frank Guadiana As for the game, friday the 13th the game is not based directly on any of the movies, however it does use elements from several of the movies from what I saw yesterday. Most notably it takes place at Crystal Lake as usual and the surroundings seen in the game such as the woods and Jason's shrine to his decapitated mother, have been taken from the film's sequel. The structure of the cabins beside the lake and the idea of having children staying at the camp was inspired by the sixth film. The game adds new elements not seen in the films, such as Pamela Voorhees' head coming back to life. Thanks for the watching my playthroughs. Glad you liked some of my run. They are dedicated to all of my viewers. You guys are the best.
I was 6 when this game came out, and I was SHOOK when Jason would Pop out lol. The music is amazing !
I have a lot of nostalgia for this underrated game. Thanks for the great playthrough!
SpotOnJ2K You're welcome. I would like to visit the original camp ground from the first movie one of these days. Located in *New Jersey* if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah
People clown this game...this game was the shiz...scary af
It still is 😨 scary
My brother had it when I was little and I’d be so scared playing it haha 28 now.
It's the music and the way Jason be coming outta the cuts. Lol.
@@chivisprz3488 lol
I can't believe my mom bought this for me. I think it was just cheaper than the other games 😂
That dang anxiety inducing frenzied music is what made this game scary lol
As a kid with this game I hated it couldn't beat it. Watching this full playthrough gives me satisfaction
It turns into punchout when you’re fighting Jason
Right
The song that plays when youre inside a building has haunting me forever. Anyways i cant believe i finally found this, i was addicted to playing this game when i was little and it freaked me out, especially the inside biulding music,& the music stuck with me forever.. but hells bells, i couldnt remember the actual name of this game for the life of me
Wow!! Throwback for real! And yes it was scary!! 😩 Especially when those little campers were chasing Jason!
The cabin music play at my wake
I played this game on a 13 inch black and white tv when it first came out. Kids these days with their 55” and bigger TVs. And high definition. This shit was super spooky black and white.
Lorin S *groans*
Don’t forget fortnite.....
They think it’s a game better than all of them..
I literally played this 20 years ago it was in color on a shitty tv. Haha colors been around for quite some time
Kids these days?? There born in an era where 70 inch 4k is available not your anicent times...
Guys look another old person that's jealous of new age kids and technology, how surprising! Oh wait...
Technology has got to a point that any working peasant can buy 55” 4k tv and a video game console.
i loved this game this is the most underrated game in the world
I wasn’t born when the NES came out but I could tell that this probably scared a lot of people as a kid
Oh this makes SO much sense. 17:54 Jason’s attacking children and you at the exact same time.
i thought jason would never kill a children
@@analogacegambit5054 well much less be in 2 places at once.
*Nes games up for auctions on ebay here: **www.ebay.ca/usr/retrogamestrading*
Came because the new Friday the 13th game had this Jason as a skin
This is by and far one of the best nes games, gameplay wise, in my opinion
I agree. I had a blast playing this for hours as a kid.
What about regular Mario bros that game was the shiiii💯😛
I pee ed a little bit everytime Jason showed up
This game was so damn hard
Jason threw hands back in the day?
SupremeShinobi and also had a zombie clan
Dont forget his mom's demonic flying head.
LMFAO
I'm DEAD no pun intended!
#WWE #Braun #GetTheseHands
💀
Now that im 34 this shit is even SCARIER!!
For a while I was wondering what Mark was, but then I was looking at the comments and then realised how much of an idiot I was
i remember this game especially the music. I was scared to death playing this alone in the house as a 6 year old kid.
I was In a Florida Pawn shop the other Day and happen to Find the First Nintendo with this Game and the First Mario Bros Game all for Just 25 bucks. I was so happy!!!! I Get to relive my ChildHood Playing them Again,😁😁
Lucky you
I remember this game used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid .. One of my favorites though
Ah, the nostalgia is strong with this one.
This horrifying music... Never forgetti.
I’m sitting in my room with Covid and decided to pull out my nes and I am currently getting killed by Jason as we speak. Good times
A lot better game than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Still play this game to this day. A Nightmare on Elm Street too. Both underrated classics.
Oh shit! Was that madusa in the cave? 😆 I never got that far. Mannnn I gotta show my kids this. They gonna laugh so hard. 10:45
Its Jason's moms head lol
I know you mean "no death for used character" but I still kinda view any counselor death as sort of an in game death. By no means a failure for what you're going for, but I was just expecting a different outcome.
WTF are you talking bout??
@@bendover9411 I think what Cryptid metaphors it's trying to say, is although Mark never died. They were hoping no counselors no children would die. That there would be no death.
Wow after 30 years of wondering how this game ends. This game was so hard. Was this guy using a game genie
I remember playing this in the late 80s. It was one of my favorite nes games.
02:39
Poor mr. Paul, black men have no luck ;(
ILike the graphics and the background
Holy shit this takes me back lol thanks for memory.
I was a kid in my basement. Parents just moved and bought a new house. I had this with a small TV. I absolutely miss my childhood as well. Do anything to go back. Even if it means losing technology
I remember me and my little brother went to our Nannas and we played this and we got scared of this game. LOL
Why's there zombies?
this camp needs to be shut down
I got this game for christmas of 88'. Used to give me nightmares wotht the song and all.
Not Many knew how to navigate the game and assumed it was a Mario style game by the layout but it was so Altered beast meets Zelda it was not even funny. Plus, yes the music was terrifying when you played it at night. I did hate it at first but figured out the layers involved and instantly fell in love. I will say Jason was way too fast and he would only hang around for a little while so you kinda had to take some of the damage. This was legendary!
this game scared the shit out of me as a kid, I dunno why I always played it when I was alone in the house 😂
I did beat warrior of war jason video game it's connected Taylor's swift....here it is warrior of war 1 2 3 and jason arcade...beating it's both 2D
..
I never could understand how the zombies fit in to the narrative or series.
Goose they had to add something like that or you’d be walking around empty roads doing nothing most of the time
Maybe they're the ghosts of ppl Jason's killed...? Why everyone gotta be a zombie??
😂😂😂😂
Here from the new F13 game, and I now see where the "Retro Jason" and bomb soundtrack comes from. Lol
I remember stealing my dads phone early in the morning as a child to watch youtube, and remember coming across this video haha. Simpler times
Wait back in the day when it turned night your house changed colour
i was dancing throughout the vid
Ashlee Beck music gets you Everytime
Of course the black guy died first
I used to play this as a kid. So good.
This game scared the beegeesus outta me. And could never win. Didn't have a clue what I was doing. Just like a trance.
I was just 7 yo playing this as a kid and could never get past the house you walk through. We never got it. But to say nether the less the music made my summer of 88’
One of the HARDEST games ive ever played...
I would die so much and never understood what too do.. yet i loved the creepiness and music. Now ill try it on a retro.. Round 2 Jason im coming for you😠
13:36 Mark was saying it with his chest
I have a machine with 400 old games and I tried this game and I can't get out of the house lol
Same here!! I don’t understand this game and i really want to like it!!
This was always the best game
LOVED this game. Would play it today.
Oh shit, you got a chance to throw 🔥? Wtf. I guess I never really got anywhere in this game as a kid. Awesome walkthrough. I had to stay for at least one Jason pop up. 🙌🙌🙌
Lmao I remember playing this game as a kid and not understanding a single thing but playing it all the time
Now I really want to play this game 2018
We’re NOT TELLING!!!
Jason bow legged ass scared the hell outta me
you know playing the new game has peaked my interest in this classic, where I can enjoy.the game by setting my own rules, where I now realise you dont have to worry about killing jason, but more survivng the night (20 minute timer) as a single councellor just like in the new game. Or ensuring that no one dies for a good 20 mins or so and you win.
That first tune has stayed in my head all these years. That was some scary stuff when I was 3 years old watching my older bros play this.
To this day this music still haunts me. It has to be the scariest tune for a kid back in the day. I was afraid to go to sleep. I was only 10 years old. This was the scariest video game I ever played.
Walk with a bluetooth speakers at night playing this video.
Watch me absolutely DESTROY F13 NES in 23 minutes, a nearly perfect run: ua-cam.com/video/rqb4z-m5yUM/v-deo.html
My only question is; why didn't mark where the mom's sweater? I mean if it was like Friday the 13th part 2 movie, then Jason would have thought that mark was his mom.
Wow I never knew this existed. But I can see why I never played this game. Although I wish more games came out before ps4 version
cracks me up it's "full gameplay" and it only took ya 20 minutes! i could never beat this as a kid (playing it in the 90s, not when it came out).
I was just trying to play this game and I didn't get it. Though I'd like to watch someone play it.. I'm glad I didn't spend $50 on this shit when I was a kid..
It wouldn't have cost you $50 back then. It's a pretty awesome game, actually.
I really miss the sounds of the NES games but man, has the world of gaming changed... I finished fallout 3 recently and what a difference... Wow.
Didn't know Jason had them hands back in the day!
Jason is a persistent bastard in this game. Geez!
I do like this game despite the flak it gets online, but Jesus! Couldn't the developers add a better ending than that?!
They were lazy devs
Sort of like many Nintendo games such as Contra and Battletoads when you when through living HELL to beat, and the ending was merely "Fly away in helicopter or spaceship as enemy fortress explodes in background; roll credits."
What year was this game made
1988
So it’s the exact same thing as punchout when you face Jason
Yes handsome.
"Fire BAAAAD!" - Jason Voorhees
JoE KeRr "........." - Jason Voorhees
After watching i have soooo many questions. How'd you get the torch so fast? How come the wolves dont appear on you on the woods? How do you get to the hidden cabins so fast? How are you able to avoid EVERYTHING while on the boat and not slow down? Why are there so few zombies jumping out of the water? And how the hell where you just walking thru the zombies??? Is it the Konami Code? Ima try the Konami Code
Jason is comin
i thought no death why you lied to us you freak, your gaming is awesome ,im sorry to say that😢😂
He let Paul die in the beginning. Ugh! His ass needed to light all of the fireplaces before getting torch. I loved this as a kid, my brothers and I played it many many times.
I hated when you're in the boat and Jason's head just pops up out of the water and he comes towards you u can't stop him from hitting you
You know you can switch to whoever's getting attacked, right?
Every knows this is the first Resident Evil👹❤️
This gsme was so fun and scary, how did I get this game as a kid? I never did beat it, in a time before game faqs! 😆 thanks so much for posting.
Stage theme with the alarm is a great mix....great mark gameplay 👌
I still can't find the fireplace ugh
This game as a kid was tough. Still is so I'm here lol
Omg my cousin Bart had this game when it first came out , it was creepy for a 7 year old lol , but it was fun to play , til I went home and had to go to bed ... I was shook😂
I just bought a extrange console at a place in nowhere like.....i don't even know how i got to this game i'm obsessed now
2:38 when Jason kills one of your counselors but you don't care.... LMAO!!!
Thanks for the memories ☺️
Don't kill me
Just to reveal, there is one death. Black Mgee is dead.
