Stunning vocals!As usual for this group. We learned this song around 1974, as part of our Spanish language class in Hawaii. Jana’s pronunciation is spot on! No accent detectable. The literal translation is “you are” in English.
I can't quit watching this video. As I said before, awesome job by everyone. Some songs need light music accompaniment. One reason I like this PJ version best is that the music is live instead of canned. In my opinion, that alone makes this song have more heart.

It is two different songs, with similar intros. Brez Besed was the first song of these two, it was the Yugoslavian entry, sung by Berta Ambroz in the Eurovision Song Contest 1966, composed and conducted by Mojmir Sepe. Eres tu was the Spanish entry sung by Mocedades in the ESC 1973, composed and conducted by Juan Carlos Calderon.
I saw this on UA-cam in 2011 and was immediately smitten by the sound this choir produces....and, of course, Jana tugs at your heart! She effortlessly sails her voice into her upper range and it is like listening to an angel. This group will ALWAYS be on my top list of performing groups....so natural and so truthfully into it.

Creo que aquella noche primaveral de 1973 lloramos todos los nacidos aquí cuando vimos que una vez más por culpa de la dictadura nos relegaban al papel de segundones en el Festival de Eurovisión: Mocedades no se lo merecía, España no nos lo merecíamos. El pasado sábado 17 de septiembre yo debía ser el único no austriaco que había entre el público de Spielberg viendo el concierto de Perpetuum Jazzile. Me habría encantado escuchar esta canción, pero no importa: EL CONCIERTO FUE INOLVIDABLE. The real backstory here is that the 1974 Spanish hit "Eres Tu" was accused of being plagiarized from a Yugoslavian song "Bres Besed." This Perpetuum Jazzile production is a deliberate mashup / medley of *both* songs. In the credits at 0:10 we name the Yugoslav composer, the Spanish songwriter, and the Slovenian arranger. PJ is of course based in Slovenia, which was part of the former Yugoslavia. The men are singing bits of the Yugoslav song, while Jana Gamson is sticking with the Spanish lyrics. Obviously the whole ensemble is in on the joke as none of them are taking it very seriously.
