Thanks for the comment... I was not originally looking for Summit White, and when I did decide that was the color I was going for, I hadn't thought about the Adrenaline Red interior. When I signed the paperwork, I told the dealer to -not- install the fender hashmark but then later reached out and told them to go ahead. I'm really glad that I ended up with what I have!
Nice ride, love the red strip 😍. Diffently a rolling classic 👌, when top goes down, price goes up. Beautiful car. Nicely equipped, She's a long-term keeper.
Thank you for the comment and the very kind words. The fender hash mark is a dealer installed option that was part of how the car was ordered. I had actually asked the dealership to NOT install it before I took delivery (it was a stock order, not ordered by me) but changed my mind. I'm glad I ended up having them put it on. Nice car. So I know this is an old video but you said you have navigation on it. I have a 2020 2ss very similar to yours. I didn't buy it new. It didn't come with navigation. I asked the dealer to install it but they told me that nav can't be installed on the car. Do you know anything about that? Is that true after the fact?
Thanks for the comment and the question! You can add Navigation if you have radio code IOS. Check the door jamb and the trunk for any stickers that list out the various build codes on your car (although these were disappearing by 2020). If you can't find the sticker, you can try pulling up your window sticker here: cws.gm.com/vs-cws/vehshop/v2/vehicle/windowsticker?vin= (add your VIN at the very end, no spaces). Look for the 8" Radio in the Interior section. Next, you need to open the armrest on the console - is the plug in there two USB connections only, or does it also have a SD-CARD slot? If you have the right radio and the SD-CARD slot, you can buy a kit for $500 online that comes with the card (map database) and the OBD-II connector to program your car to turn the navigation on.
Thanks... I would love to do some smoked lens markers, but there are just too many complaints about aftermarket lights burning out prematurely. In addition, the electrical gremlins on this car are just too numerous to want to risk adding to them with different lights.
@@hotcamaro9145 I've had the diodes dynamics on my 2016, 2019 and my 2020 Camaro they have been great with no issues. I also had them on my 2017 mustang as well. I had a led section get dim, not burned out. They sent a replacement immediately, with a return label for the bad one. 3 yr warranty. They are well worth it. Just wanted to share my experience.
Thanks, found your video on NextGen site (I know you got your at EOS..but they only have gloss currently). Question now that you are 2+ yrs out. How's it holding up finish wise with unfinished blk ABS? I was going to get the OEM 1LE SatinBlack front spoiler on Chevy Parts, but it’s 175 more than this repo from NextGen. So looking into this one. But I’m thinking like you regarding having the front match the rear black ABS and going with the “Primer Black” option. Wondering if you still like that option you went with. I have a '21 1SS coup, M6, Wild Cherry Tint, carbon-flash wheels with NPP. In '21, the NPP has the same stock matt finish as you have. Oh, I also have the same ZL1Addon splash guards as you, thet are great.
Thanks for the comment and question... As far as the finish goes, zero issues or complaints. However, the car is always garaged and has less than 10k miles on it still. Also, one of my side skirts was damaged by something being kicked up off of the road... there's a small piece missing and a crack as well. I'm contemplating replacing them as a result, and would likely remove the splitter as well and paint everything to match in a gloss black / clear. In other words, it seems to be holding up fine with limited sun exposure. Given the chance to do it again, I would be more patient and paint them.
@@hotcamaro9145 Thanks for the input. I'm just going with the splitter alone. Skipping side skirts. Just turned 60 and getting in/out is hard enough..lol
Thanks for the question, and the patience waiting for my response - I apparently missed this! Anyhow... I'm still ever so slightly shy of 10k. Generally, no issues with any of it. I have a Novistretch mask on the front that prevented a chunk of tire that got kicked up in front of me (and hit the splitter) from doing any cosmetic damage to it (although it did cause a bit of damage to the mask).
Thanks for the question - Yes, the splitter itself has all of the necessary holes for the screws and the rivets. If I remember correctly, you would get everything installed and THEN drill into the bottom of the bumper using the hole in the splitter as a guide/template so that you would be able to add the rivet. Don't forget to like and subscribe!
Great vid Hot Camaro, I am thinking of the same the front Splitter & the Side Skirts, but those are not really protected and from what I have read that these ABS plastics it will fade the normal part of plastic and so I also wanted a tab sparkle to the stock matte black trim parts and I JUST LOVE the LOOK using "Lithium Auto Elixirs Trim Serum- Plastic Restorer" on Amazon, well worth the $37 and boy does it make the stock matte black plastic trim look deeper richness that adds to my Garnet Red Camaro Convertible, but the main bonus is that it will protect it and has UV protectant also , I don't work for them but a suggestions. Thank you and looking for more Camaro vids & and a new Sub!
Thanks for the comments! ABS will degrade from the sun. If appropriate additives were included in the formula, the rate of degradation will slow down significantly. Painting is a way to protect it, but it takes a few solid coats to ensure that there's "enough" to block the UV light. Don't forget to subscribe!
That's a great question! The splitter that I have is called ZL1 Refresh (or something close to that) by the manufacturer (Extreme Online Store). I don't know how it's different from other ones that they sell, sorry.
Hot Camaro Thanks. I’ve been debating on which one to get. I have the same SS model just not convertible. I plan on getting the matte version because it goes with my wing, side mirrors and hood vent. Keep up the good work very informative videos and step by step.
I appreciate the feedback - thank you for taking the time to comment. It's really hard to get a straight answer out of EOS about this, so here's something you might find helpful... They refer to unfinished, "raw" ABS as "Primer Black.' They're only trying to describe the color, but (IMHO) the name they chose makes it sounds like it has been painted with primer when it is actually completely unfinished.
Thanks for the comment/question! I understand where you're coming from because finding correct fitment for this sort of stuff is extremely difficult. Here's what I just did... Went to GM.COM, clicked the Chevy logo, clicked Shopping Tools, clicked Accessories. From there, I looked up my car (2020 2SS Convertible) and located the Summit White front fascia extension. I did the exact same thing using the 2021 LT1 Coupe as my search car and the Summit White front fascia extension has the exact same part number. BASED ON THAT, it is my belief that this specific splitter will fit your car (2021 LT1). Good luck, let us know how it goes, and don't forget to subscribe!
Thanks for the comments and questions! The splitter would need to be removed in order to remove the bumper. If the bumper needing replacing or repainting (in which case the splitter might need that as well), the adhesive would need to be removed between the two as well and reinstalled later.
Thanks for the question! I provided the part number for the splitter so you can search it out and buy from wherever you're comfortable / get the best price. Be sure to Like and Subscribe, too!
Thanks for the question! Zero issues here after about two years being installed. All road use, plenty highway driving, but only about 7000 miles logged as of now (if that helps). The screws "do all the work" for everything under the car, so the area to be wary of is the very front edge and specifically where it is adhered to the bottom of the front bumper. If you properly clean that surface and prep it, the tape should be able to hold more than well enough for regular road use.
i like your videos better you show the struggle of your install instead of FF through like others do. kjeep it up i have a 2020 lt1 im doing things to need a good application for tuning ??
I appreciate the comment - thank you. A big part of why I decided to start this channel is because I wanted to share more about the entire experience and not just show "the end result" of efforts. I use the FF function in some videos to show that a lot goes on to get to certain points, and sometimes that includes mis-steps and re-do's, but I try to do it without cutting content out (I do cut complete dead space, though). Hey I installed mine a few days ago. The tape where it bonded is visible all the way around. Is that the case for yours too? … I’m thinking whether I should redo it or not. I don’t see how it would fit otherwise though
Thanks for the question! Yes, the treasure is visible but the dark gray color against the black of the splitter combined with it being set back slightly from the edge keep it from looking "obvious". I'll follow up here soon for you with a pic.

Greetings, thank you for the question, and I appreciate the courtesy with which you asked - far too little of that sort of thing in the world today. Anyway!!! The guidance from the manufacturer is to drill through and install them as they will help to more solidly attach the splitter along the front edge of the bumper. If you are planning to track your car and operate at speeds well in excess of 120MPH or so, then I absolutely suggest you install them. The purpose of the splitter is to create additional downforce on the front wheels from wind pushing downward on it, and the faster the wind is moving, the harder it pushes down. That's not how I drive this car, so I have felt no need to add them AND I have seen nothing to indicate that the splitter is being pulled down hard enough to create a gap in the tape in the 3000 miles or so that it has been on the car so far. For me, for the time being, I will continue without them installed. Don't forget the subscribe, and come back to let us know how your install went!

With wired connectivity required from 2020 back, it is not terribly convenient to always rely on the phone.
