I used to work at a storage building. The owners would pick through the delinquent lockers for cash, gold, and jewelry and rebox all the garbage and sell to people.
Exactly what I was thinking. There's no way they're not taking the good stuff.

I think it's SO important to show the fails! Not only does it make these videos much more interesting, people need to understand that this is a risky hobby, and some units are a fail.
I'm pretty sure all the good stuff is swept by employees or the storage company first.

My theory is this was someone belongs at an old folks home that died. They put it into storage paid for a few months and nobody ever claimed it. Why they put it in locked black bins I’m not sure.

I didn't see any dust or debris come off the lock you shook . Had it been in there for a while they wouldn't be so clean looking .

I work as a Property Manager at a self storage company (its one of the largest), Extra Space is known for staging / faking their auction units to get the unpaid rent back lol...

I feel like some of these storage places are scamming, they can place those bins and say someone didn’t pay when in reality the people who run the place planted that stuff and makes people bid on them. I’m not saying all storage places but definitely some!!

Make a fail compilation of the failed storages
Based upon the fact they had a lot of auctions go up at the same time and how weird the worker was and how weird the locker contents were, I’m going to confidently assume they’re scamming. There’s no way this locker was legit.
Most of these storage places are surely scamming people. There's not way they don't go through the storage lockers before selling them. It seems so obvious too, I'm surprised people still buy them and for so much money.
Snip the plastic hole the lock goes through next time - at least you’ll have a usable set of boxes left!
I bet you that management put those bolt locks on the cases to make the locker seem more interesting to people and to help the locker get a higher bid. The way that guy walked away after taking the lock off the locker makes me not trust him. I find it hard to believe that management or employees of some of these storage places don't go through these lockers cherry picking items before they are auctioned off.

This storage locker is so bad the only good thing about it is that diapers wasn't used I didn't think this would go for 1500 I think you should join the storage war because you spend less money but good thing you have good UA-cam channel good luck on the next storage locker

A lot of storage lockers that are staged by owners, and newbies pay a fortune for it. Then the previous owner will get the the money minus what he owns in back rent to the facility
