    Can i just chain 11 for the ribbing without fastening it?

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  Рік тому +1

      Hi😊 The reason I fasten off the yarn is to attach it again back of the sock, so the seam will be in the back. it is only for aesthetics and serves no purpose beyond that. You can of course not fasten off and just continue working😊❤

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet

      Yes the ribbed edge significantly helps to keep the sock on the foot. So I would definitely recommend making it. If you find the instructions for this part difficult to follow. Alternatively, you can make the ribbing separately and sew it on later.

    Hi, after making the hole for the heel, my stitch per round reduced to 23. Is this correct? Or I have missed out any stitch?

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  3 роки тому

      You missed a stitch. The stitch count should not be reduced. 🙂

    • @berthabarbour1842
      @berthabarbour1842 2 роки тому +3

      Yes I ended up with 23 stitches as well. now I have to do it the 3rd time. your not making your stitch counts clear at the end of each row. & in the beginning of each row. Please repeat your stitch counts. Also rnds 12to 19 what's the purpose in slip stitching in the middle of crocheting? Slst end of each row 12 to 19 only making confusing & st counting. I stop slstitching in 12 to19 rows. Now my st counting is good at the end of each row to 19.

    At the end of each round one shall do 1 sl in the first st of the round, and then at the start of the next round one shall do HDC INC in the first st. Is this all in the same st? So first 1 sl and then HDC Inc in the same st.

      That’s wonderful to hear-your sock sounds adorable, and it’s such a sweet gift for a newborn baby boy! 💙🧶 It’s perfectly normal for a first project to take a bit of time, especially when you’re learning. For me, it varies depending on the complexity and size of the sock, but it usually takes a few hours.
      Everyone’s speed is different, so just keep enjoying the process and practicing. You’re doing an amazing job, especially at 16! 😊✨

      Congratulations on making your firt pair of socks! It can be quite a journey to learn new techniques, especially when you've been self-taught for many years. It's understandable how a small misinterpretation can lead to some hair-pulling moments, but I'm glad you figured it out and found the solution.
      Making socks for the first time after 58 years of crochet is truly impressive! You should be proud of your dedication and willingness to try something new. Being a lefty adds an extra layer of complexity, but it's fantastic to see you embrace the challenge.❤😊
