I love this!!! I love seeing big town drummers getting pushed passed their limit. Because it shows the people that they can still grow. I was definitely annoyed with the host after awhile but then when Dev came back wit that nasty, I understood what he was doing cause I've experienced that same feeling. It's like when Goku goes Kaioken before he goes Super Saiyan. He's pushing past his limits and it burns almost all the stamina in the world but once you hit that super saiyan level, you feel like you just achieved something beautiful. I totally went waaaaay left with this lol

I'm not trying to say I can play as good as that cat but at the end of the day I've heard those licks and seen those licks a million times. It's like watching those videos were people try to show you how to play like John Bonham. Its been said and done enough already. I would have been more impressed if I had gone Clyde stubblefield or Jabo Starks and just kept some serious wicked time and played a nasty funk beat that makes you want to Bob your head.
I definitely feel what you're saying.. I guess these days , while watching drummers , we have to search for something else . Maybe lay into Studying techniques ... Or just delivery in itself .
