- We are excited to announce the wireless BLU-PNP8 Digital Sound Decoder. The BLU-PNP8 is an easy-to-install DCC decoder designed for use in most HO diesel models. The BLU-PNP8 works seamlessly with all Tsunami2 decoders when used with a command station. Installed with an 8-ohm speaker, the BLU-PNP8 provides high-quality sound and operational features, including eight lighting outputs, with the addition of full wireless operations via onboard Bluetooth communications and the free Blunami App.

The Blunami, BLU-PNP8 Wireless Digital Sound Decoder works using either an NMRA-compliant DCC command station or a digital device such as a tablet or phone with the Blunami App. The wireless operation reliably works up to 100 feet and allows the user to easily connect to and run multiple decoders. The Blunami App is available for free download to a variety of smart devices, which are listed on the SoundTraxx website at www.soundtraxx.com/blunami.
While the BLU-PNP8 is a fully featured DCC Sound Decoder, no command station is necessary, and no functionality is lost when used with the app. The BLU-PNP8 format is designed as a replacement or upgrade from factory boards that come in a large variety of HO diesel models. Each part number contains up to twelve prime movers, over 40 airhorns, and a variety of selectable sound effects including bells, compressors, couplers, dynamic brakes, and more.

What are the deciding factors to consider between the PNP8 vs the 2200?
The BLU-2200 only has 6 function outputs the BLU-PNP8 has 8. Then the installation process. The BLU-2200 can simply plug into models equipped with a DCC quick plug. Our 9-Pin JST to NMRA 8-Pin Wiring Harness (P.N. 810135) can also be used to plug the BLU-2200 into models equipped with an NMRA 8-Pin plug. The BLU-2200 can also be wired into a large variety of models. The BLU-2200 is available in Steam, diesel and electric versions while the BLU-PNP8 is only available for diesel. The BLU-PNP8 is a universal factory board replacement sound decoder suitable for use in many manufacturers’ diesel models.

Any plans to get Japanese radio wave permission?
What permissions do we need? The app should be available now in the Apple iOS version. If you are Android, since it is still technically Beta, we need to open it up for download in specific countries as requested. If you are Android and it is not available, then let us know at support@soundtraxx.com and we will make the requested submission.
And when will we get these in the UK ? Hard enough getting the blunami steam2 . None existent in U K.
That depends on your retailer. We ship our orders in the order they are received. You can order form our website, but if you can get your retailer to order you will not have to worry about the high cost of international shipping.
Any idea when the Android version will be released?
