It's no secret to anyone that many people dream of buying their own car and save money to do so. When they finally achieve their goal, they literally get the most out of their new purchase. But there are also many stories in which vehicles are deliberately left unattended for a long time. Some people don't seem to need a car and use it as an accessory, such as this Ferrari for patio decoration. Many expensive cars were kept out of the sunlight for years, something that will undoubtedly amaze the average person. But... let's start from the beginning. In today's video, we'll tell you about a rare car that was underground for half a century. Who put it there and why? Let's find out *** / @incredible-qq2zi SLICED ► goo.su/v3QLR

I live in Tulsa and I remember when they excavated the car, it was live on the news, when they removed the concrete slab and they saw the water in there with the car everyones heart sank, you could just feel the energy in the crowd subside. Eveyone thought that the car was rusted beyond repair. But I'm glad that they were able to make the car shine again.

There is a town in Louisiana named "Waterproof". When two fishermen from the town drowned the newspaper headline read;"Two Waterproof fishermen drowned". So I doubt Miss Belvedere would have faired any better even if it had been burried in "Waterproof" Louisiana.

The first car I looked at to buy with my own money was a 57' Ply. Fury while in my Sr year of HS in 75. The guy wanted $50 for it. My brother took me to look at it in his 65' Ford Galaxie 500 running stock dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers and cragar rims at all 4 corners and G-60x15s on the rear. The guy showed me they car and just as he was starting it up the engine seized up. We checked the oil and the oil was like gunk. Other than my hand me down car the first car I ended actually buying was a 69' Ply Roadrunner.

And it wouldn’t have been so bad if it just rained on it!!! While the '57 Belvedere was de-rusted, after ten years the car has been determined as irreparable. It is going to be displayed in an Illinois museum but it is far from perfect. The photo of the shiny "restored" Miss Belvedere in the video is not the actual car. See the link to see it at auction in 2017.

the car WAS initially sealed. but there was construction near by in later years which resulted in the concrete being damaged, but it was decided that they were not going to open it up to repair it as its ment to stay closed until 2007. so it was not the 50's that ruined the car. this information is available on the websites dedicated to the car. for some reason the person who filmed this did not pick this fact up.

F2.8 Studio, while the rest of us have been using Ad Blocker since the beginning of UA-cam, uninformed people like you continue to watch ads because you just don't have time to take 30 seconds to install it.

You build a crypt to hold a car for a time capsule event but you don’t make it water and air tight! Not the smartest but hey this is Oklahoma.

Rodger Watt they thought it was water tight they used a new brand of concrete that was being made in the area and over time cracks started to form it happens this was a community based event to promote businesses and local products making the town closer

edwoll77 here's a story I would like to tell you. Hundreds of years ago I'm believing it was in England. A king wanted a bridge built. A Mason said I will build you that bridge King. So the king let the Mason build in a bridge. After the bridge was completed the king did not think the bridge could withstand some years. So he told the Mason I'm not going to pay you for the building of this bridge for 50 years. The Mason lived and got his money. The bridge today is still standing and a few years ago they stopped driving over it.
