"And the truth shall set you free" I've had every allegation thrown at me..been self representing mostly with odd direct access barrister. I was up against a legal aid funded barrister who also sits as a deputy judge.. child solicitor via guardian came in person. She was not phased at all. The truth is the truth. Now listed for a 2 day final hearing

I got screwed over by the other side's solicitor. I didn't have a solicitor so their solicitor prepared the final hearing bundle and never asked me what evidence of mine I wanted including in it! I didn't realise they had to ask me so at the final hearing none of my evidence was included except my initial statement at the first hearing. Beware of this!

This is one of the difficulties of being a litigant in person - you don’t know how the process works. My feeling is that HMCTS should be proving the education contained in this video rather than it falling to a generous solicitor to provide it. If you are to be a litigant in person you need to learn about the court process.

Something like 55% of women included in the women's aid research from 2018 said that their evidence was not heard or included in the court procedings.

Thank You - the hearing I am attending is way too complicated, but this is precisely why going over the distracting basics that cause the unnecessary overthinking is so very appreciated..! Thank You❤️

What do I do if the judge found a lot of my allegations true, but said they don't matter because it is not hitting the child and not screaming at the child

    I'm very worried.
I have just come out of a 16 year abusive relationship. Emotionally, financially and sexually. I had the non molestation order granted in the 3rd of Dec, the contested hearing is next Fri. After waiting a endless amount of time for legal aid I have been told today that I am not entitled as he has bail conditions in place. I am not law literate and there are 4 children involved. I have no idea (even after watching this video) where on earth to start. The social services and schools have recognised him as a safeguarding issue. Do I need this on paper? He broke the order the day it was served via his brother. He then goes onto send an email full of lies and false accusations. He has a solicitor (I belive) but I am stood alone at the next remote hearing. What on earth do I do? I do also have somewhat video proof of my allegation and have submitted attached emails I'm still at a loss it seems so unfair to the victim who is not financially in a place to pay private legal fees

Please know that you are not alone. Something similar happened to me in my case and it is absolutely not good enough, victims of abuse are being re-traumatized by this process. Don't encourage women to leave if society doesn't want to deal with it properly. I'm so sorry about your situation and I hope that you are in a better place now. If you ever want to chat give me a message.

I applied for an occupation order and it took 13 months! There were 3 month gaps between each hearing and one was cancelled with NO explanation and made for another 3 months later. At the final hearing , (where the verdict would be told the next day), the Judge changed the verdict venue to another town and at both the final hearing and the verdict, there was nobody else at the court, so they weren't bogged down with work, so why so long between hearings? 13 months of my life!

I have a contested hearing in Dec. My lawyer can not do the final hearing as she is not qualified, I was told I will need to find a barrister. I am thinking of representing myself, but English is not my first language, I am concerned if I can express myself in the court properly, can I request an interpreter? Can you please give me some advice? Thanks.

Hello recently I stopped contact between my son and his father because my son who is 4, disclosed two allegations against him. He also said something similar when he was 18 months old but I didnt do anything about it, as I thought kids just say things. Social services and police involved. But son refused to give an ABE statement and so police can't do anything. Social services have put it down to inappropriate play and have promoted supervised cotact. I dont agree. Can I go for sole custody, or will court just go off what social workers have wrote in the assessment. I have complained about the assessment, because there's alot of missing information and very supportive of the narcissist ex

You can ask for sole custody, but you will have to provide some evidence as to why supervised contact is a bad idea. Can you do this?

Obviously she can’t as otherwise she wouldn’t have to use a four year old as a tool (an 18 month old told you….) to all you ladies out there: the statement of your manipulated toddler is not evidence

Healthy separated parents do not make sexual abuse allegations against each other. how long was contact terminated? 6months? A year? Could you have your child all to your own. Seems like you are even proud of it. Did you say „no my ex would never be capable of doing that?“ you you took the opportunity didn’t you

according to research, narcissistic behaviour is more common in females. So when a man turns out to have these traits, it turns out that they're most likely to have come from a single mother household.
