Chicago clubs in the 80's & 90's !!! 😃 Arguably the best in the western hemisphere. Exit, Medusa's, Limelight, Berlin, Riviera, Aragon, Park West, Smart Bar, Metro, Bistro 2, CROBAR, Avalon, NEO, .....
Hey, you're the 2nd Chicago club kid I've run into because of XYMOX. I've known Dave Shelton, aka "Medusa" since 1986. I went to the Limelight, NEO, EXIT , CROBAR, Smart Bar, Berlin, Park West, Avalon, Aragon Ballroom,
So yes, I was already 22 years old in 1986 so I only went to Medusa's a few times. However, the clubs would lead me on lifelong journey. I would go on to work for Warner Bros, manage a band in London, and then in 1997 Dave Medusa would open up a Chicago style club in his hometown of Elgin. And I worked together there with him for the first 3 years. It opened up as "MISSION" with great fanfare. ... If you see this, I can be reached at this email, DAVIDJONATHANGARRIS@GMAIL.COM
This is the 12" club mix... By far the best of all cuts... I used to own this great piece of vinyl... Sorry I let it go , along with a couple of hundred other hard to find greats...
It's less commercial mixed and has a less 'new romantic' sound then the Twist of shadows ans the A-side mix. ;-) I like all the versions anyway. Pitty they don't make stuff like this aymore. The post 1997 clan of xymox laks a bit of creativity in my view. Back in the 80ies they where leadin the Dark Wave Phenomenom. today, they are just following other bands...
this version of this song has been speeded up a bit and edited since it was first posted. not the original now, just sayin, I copied it to CD with YT to mp3 Converter before it was changed here.
Sorry, this is an attempt to make this track Industrial and have drowned the most important part - her voice with the heavy snares - my opinion anyway ^.~
@INM0R4L I find that this version is far and away superior to the original - the same goes with the Club Mix of Blind Hearts. This remix sounds darker and more ethereal and has drastically dialed down the pop-glam-froth that the original oozes. In my humble opinion, the originals are significantly inferior and sound, dare I say it?, quite dated.
The best version right there!!!

It's hard to express how perfect I think this song is...over 30 years after its release.
Still amazing!

There was a Medusa’s lounge in philly that played cool music. I wonder if it still exists.
Song remains the epitome of 80s shoegaze.
I love this version too! :)
Kaszana totalna- nie da się słuchać?- tylko oryginalne😮

Michael Meacham (sp), DJ at 5th column in DC back in early 90s publised a remix - very tight but nice dj friendly intro outros
Jammin.

Great ,,,gruß Olli-etg.
Anyone ever try playing the vocal track backwards that is at the beginning of the song? If not, you should.

Agree this is weaker than the album version
intense intro of sound
This has no play in San Antonio TX clubs anymore. Lame

I couldn’t disagree more. This is fine for a club version but it’s a pretty standard 80’s remix. The original is such a beautiful song.
