Cilla knew he wasnt the boss, she just wanted to embarrass him. Absolute tory
Absolutely. Spitefully ecstatic as soon as he revealed that.
Her way of asking questions is infuriating because they're basically statements.
"You were the boss weren't you?"
"But you were some kind of boss weren't you?"
@@deadforever and then the follow up of "YeeeeAs!"
Cilla's patter is desperate.
'Wouldn't it be wonderful girls if we could buy a pound of steak for 5p.... Nowadays they aren't even open at 9pm.'
Audience in fits of hysterics.
Yet if we did this patter we'd get silence and looks of disgust.
This is taking a dark turn I thought this was going to be a lighthearted one
Surprise Surprise is without fail grim.
I think something sexual went on and neither wants to speak about it
The "Butcher boy" episode will be a classic for many generations to come.......
Gets played in our house every Boxing Day. We have a laugh, as everyone onscreen is dead now and we’re still watching it.
This is so absurd. I haven't cried laughing this hard ever.
The follow up story was at the end of the show....turns out the butchers boy owed him 10 bob and he wanted it back 👍
With interest
Last time they seen each other was 1942 in London just after the Blitz, and not a word spoken between them when they reunite
He was a fairly fit old man before he sat down with Cilla , then she started speaking and the evil from her lungs just drew the death from him.
Apparently it was in the papers the he passed no long after this , doctors were perplexed as he was given a full bill of health before seeing Cilla
apparently his sausage was the talk of the town
1903 pattern rifles regiment belt. 1930's shirt, 1940's suit, 1950's shoes. He's a miser.
Why has he been looking for him for so long? Did he enjoy sharing a sausage with this "butcher's boy"?
Or they are just 2 stooges they needed to fill a spot on the show. They might not even know each other, that's why they seemed so distant and unemotional.
100% they were pumpin in the back of the butchers shop
Couldnae be gay in 1988. But they almost let on.
Wouldn’t 46 years before 1988 be 2 years into WW2? If the younger bloke was 75 he’d have been 29?
By September 1939, conscription was extended to all males aged 18-41 who had to register for service. In 1942, the age range was extended to 42-51 years old.
I wish I knew how to quit you! (creeping in of the pump organ...)
I wonder what he got up to with his butchers boy? We'll never know. A Wartime secret sausage sharing romance? I wonder,i really wonder.
Got another Schofield here
They do work in the television industry.
Hello!
He talk in cough language
Indeed he was telling her to 'ckoff
Dion Warwicck loved Cilla cause she sang Burt Bacharach songs much better.
