Maya's mother was also phisicaly and emotionaly abused by her husband they did show her in early episodes standing up to her daughter during her birthday party and ashwin beating her for it she would also go and get maya out of the darkness she hides in when she is scared she even wanted to kill him just to protect her janvi her self had some underliying psychological issues just like maya making her starving for any kind of affection even if it's from a monster(obvioulsly the writters didn't bother expending on janvi's backstory it would have being intresting showing what domestic abuse is realy like and who are the type of people that are usualy seaked by abusive partners ) sadly people should tend to theire psychological issuses before having kids maya her self wasn't cut to be a mother

@@vedavalliv9597 ppl love maya coz this is the character role of both protagonist and antagonist and this is the kind of role which is of depth character layers of emotions and yes what maya did is wrong I'm not defending maya action but it's all coz of her broken childhood and ppl who she believed are always disappointing her at times yea she is obessed but she is obsessed in love she is mad in love and her love is limitless and that's what this serial theme is...and obviously her love blinded her that's y she did all wrong doings... she maybe psychotic but her love is not fake she really kept her words till her last breath she didn't cared about society what think about her she stood against everyone for arjun her only fault is she was a control freak but it's her nature from childhood and u know what I found somewhat care even in her controlling coz she over cared like I mean overa parthu parthu seiradhu ivanuku idhu thaan correct ah irukum idhu tappa irukum andha maathiri about the things which she loves which will eventually turn to be controlling over others life .. even she was same with her mom too she controlled her mom coz her mom itself an somewhat mad and obsessed but she was not control freak that's only difference she was saving her mom from her father and also from whole world she took the blame of her mom's illness too as her own and atlast her love is called an psycho love ....this kind of ppl obviously become obsessed bcoz since from childhood she was lonely desperated disturbed having an colourless life if this kinda ppl find their love somehow they don't have that tendency of sacrificing they will not let go of their love and they don't move on too and last but not least maya love concept is just that EVERYTHING IS FAIR IN Love AND WAR...and she is not a killer from the beginning if it so then she would have killed her abusive father in her childhood days itself right...as saanjh itself confessed in last episode that maya isn't bad but she was made and to be said that maya was perfectly done by Jennifer no one can do this role way better than her ..... and even psychopath too an humans who were innocent at a point of time....
