Ball leapfrog: plan your route before you start, otherwise you’ll end up with 2 or more and you’ll lose. Quiz time: reach level 7 to pass. Right answer moves you up 1 while a wrong answer moves you down 2. Don’t answer within 5 seconds and you drop down 1. You get 10 questions total. Barrel counting: count the barrels you see, including the hidden stacked ones on the bottom. You only get 1 guess. Tri race: figure out the order that Goo, Boo, Kipp and Bones finish in and talk to them in the order they came in. Each one will provide you one clue. Once you think you got it, talk to topper, then make your guesses. You only get 1 try.
The remake allows you to give up if you want to go through a different door. You don’t need to do the quiz doors. Those don’t provide new weapons when you clear them. Go through the action and battle doors instead. Those will give you the weapons you’re looking for. Sonic cymbals for Mallow, Star Gun for Geno, and Drill Claw for Bowser. Can also get a super slap for Peach, but you can already get the frying pan before regaining access to the keep.
