Was at the pop up Gashapon shop in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles to experience the vending machines. I got one of the Kirby models and when I read the little pamphlet that came inside with the toy, it said made in China.
I thought these were made by Japanese craftsmen?

Were there any series that you didn't pick up but was super surprised to see gashapon for?
Hmm there were quite a few, but mainly I was surprised mostly my the amount of weird food/animal and other object themed gacha!
I always think "someone made this" and picture an artist pitching cross-legged vegetable ideas to a stone faced guy in a suit.
