I built the northeastern dory a couple years ago, and I remember right about this point in the build I was thinking how badly I wanted to just get the dang boat in the water lol! Top notch work, keep it up!
I can relate to that feeling! I did decide earlier this season to avoid rushing and putting extra pressure on myself by going for a launch next spring instead of this summer, which in my case was definitely the right thing to do. But then there is a part of me that just wants to be afloat asap! Thanks for your comment :-)
Whenever you drill holes into plywood especially, you should drill an oversize hole and fill with epoxy, let it go off then drill the holes for the screws. that way no water can ever come into contact with the ply
