It's unbelievable how coletta hasn't blown up yet. The music they put out is always amazing.
Literally, if a kid on TikTok can get 50 million likes for recording themselves singing with their smartphone, then god damn it why does something like this go unnoticed??

My musical taste is so vast and eclectic that I'm sure Spotify struggles to find an algorithm to apply to my "suggested artists" section. It's probably like, "I have no idea what this guy likes, but based on his listening history he'll probably like the most obscure, avant-garde, fusion music we can offer." That or, I'm super easy to suggest artists to and it's like, "Well he likes so many musicians that he he'll probably also like this." And then picks a random musician to recommend.🤣
It suggested this band, Coletta, which I can only describe as Psychedelic, R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, EDM, Metal. And I must admit, I'm digging it! Good job Spotify!

Love the sound for the most part. However, I'm not a fan of the rapping parts. That goes for Bloom and for Sweet Nothin'. It just doesn't feel like it matches the style of the music and feels out of place. Otherwise, I really enjoy Sweet Nothin' and maybe Bloom will grow on me a bit more. Still looking forward to the album!

honestly I kinda feel you there. Idk this is bit of a hard right in terms of direction. I like this song, but it’s just not completely there for me (it’s got a pretty catchy chorus though). Sweet Nothin was enjoyable for me- but I won’t lie if I say that I only really tolerate the rap because it’s at the end (sometimes I just skip to the next song at that point). Their EP was literally my favorite at the time it released- but hearing that only 1 or 2 songs will have harsh vocals (and I absolutely LOVE their screams) doesn’t really put my hopes too far up. I can’t hate on them for that because like most bands, you just grow out of it or don’t vibe with that type of sound. I just really enjoy Coletta as psychedelic post hardcore- but I’m still gonna give the album an honest listen at release. It’ll bring out some new fans for sure.
Way too much hip hop for me, I loved the first EP and Wanderlust but this is just too far in the other direction. The ending is great when the vibes pick UP but the rapping isn't at all what I come to Coletta for. Still, great instrumentals boys. Excited to hear the rest of the album.
