- I've been wearing this foundation for a number of days and tried it with several different skincare products, no skincare products, and different methods of application.....my mum has also tried it. Hope you find this review helpful.

My skin type is combi/dry most of the month, but when hormonal, my skin gets very oily around my t-zone. It's very unpredictable (thanks skin) and I suffer from breakouts (mostly hormonal breakouts...thanks again hormones!)

I have normal skin/nor oily or dry and this has been a lifesaver! I love it and keep rebuying it! Stays on all day , covers well and looks wonderful 🥰
It's very runny I was surprised. I pushed to hard on the pump 👀. found it in tkmaxx. In shade 20. Was £6. If it's any good I'll be buying it in the future.

I have a completely different experience with this foundation, having combination skin - very dry and very oily in some areas, this one works for me the best. And it has medium coverage. Even comparing it to high end, I still prefer Max Factor Facefinity. I do not powder it with setting powder, but use powder blush and bronzer and it applies perfectly.

I love max factor! Their masterpiece max mascara has been my favorite for years. I always go back to that one, and I "even" prefer it over the loreal paradise mascara, which everyone seems to love :)

Glad to see a more affordable foundation, thanks for going to the effort even though you weren't keen! I have also tried a tester of this foundation and found the same results as you. Used Max Factor many years ago and found it drying then, but I thought it may have improved over the years, but sadly not.x
I live with a temperamental teenager, so I don't need a temperamental foundation 😎. I love the green eyes! They look so much like your Mom's and are so pretty! ❤❤
It looks very thick when applied with a brush but much finer and nicer with a sponge. I love your eyelashes, they look fab

Max Factor usually sells as CoverGirl in the US. This product is Outlast All-day Stay Fabulous 3-in1 Liquid Foundation (which is a mouthful). $9.39 at Target (didn’t check other stores.)

Today on May 25 l put on Max Factor Face Finity all Day flawless in lvory l was disappointed when l put it on it was runny.
I use a flat foundation brush which is amazing I use miracle touch foundation warm almond. Gosh velvet touch primer first. I am 56. I think this foundation youre using smells funny. I have it aswell. Max factor lasting performance isn't too bad. Xx
This foundations sounds like its more trouble than its worth. Who can be bothered trying to remember what it does or doesnt work with. I much prefer a foundation that works with whatever else I am using so I dont have to faff about. Great review Gemma, much appreciated! xx
Got to say I’ve never been a fan of max factor apart from their mascara, so won’t be trying it. I have been using the Pur 4in1 selfie foundation now sold in M&S and it is a lovely foundation my new favourite. Great review 😊
I looked for a review because I was recommended this foundation by a makeup artist. I found the same issues, it clung to dry patches and the foundation broke down/became patchy the same way when I applied products over it. I wanted to know if I just had a dud bottle but I guess not. WOW! I didn't even know you could FIND Max Factor products!! I haven't seen any of them in YEARS. What I remember about that line is the foundation colors were REALLY off, TOO pink or too beige light/ashy. I do remember they were kind of dry and looked cakey.
Max Factor Pancake was my very first foundation in the mid 90s! You used to have to wet the sponge that came with it (showing my age now!). Since then not really used many of their products at all and don't think I'll be using this one either!

I SO loved the Max Factors Pancake. It looked so good on my skin. I've tried many cake foundations from other brands and nothing is comparable to it. It has been discontinued for a very long time, I only can find it in Ebay and it cost over 100€...

Lately I’ve tried something a little different to prevent foundation from clinging to my dry patches: I’ve used just a little of the Aveeno Baby Eczema Nighttime Balm (the one in the tub) on top of my normal skincare routine. It almost has a Vaseline quality, but it’s nicer. It really smoothes things. You see, I was just diagnosed two weeks ago with psoriasis (I thought it was just eczema), so no wonder lotions weren’t helping the two problematic patches on my face. I’ve started using this balm on all of the red and flaky patches on my body (over a two-week period now), and I’ve seen quite an improvement. I am also getting biweekly injections of Enbrel, so hopefully the balm plus the medicine will make my skin pretty again. Much love to you, sweetie, from across the pond. Love this foundation so far. It was very hard to find my shade in several brands do for the first time ever I decided to get max factor... Because I always walk past it for all the other brands and I'm pleasantly surprised.
I have a oily tzone but I also moisturise and put oil on my face in a 2-3 step routine.
Max factor site say to apply with a brush and do the rest with you fingers as it works well with the warmth that comes from your fingertips
I’ve always used Maybeline 25hr stay until they changed it to 30hr way to thick absolutely awful. After trying a lot of different foundations I saw the Max Factor infinity advertised I bought it tried it on absolutely fantastic glides on the face beautifully it’s definitely a winner for me.
I can’t be the only one eagerly awaiting your “if I could only keep one.......foundation” please say it’s coming soon, as I’ve been putting off trying any others until I see your final choice video, to see what tempts me ☺️ x

This may be a pass for me. Thank you for reviewing it. I have quite an oily t-zone and bought the Max Factor powder foundation on my last trip to London in October. I think I will stay with that one for now. I also bought a liquid in a tube which I have yet to try. They offer several options which is great! 💖

Foundation is soooo bizarre. I have dry skin and my 16 year old daughter has very very dry skin and we can both use this without any problems. In fact it is one of my daughter's favourites. I don't buy it as I begrudge spending £13.99 on a drug store product, I'd rather add a bit more and buy a high end foundation. Great video as always Gemma xx
Thank you for your tip on using a beauty sponge if you have dry areas! Picked up that tip the other day in another video of yours (possibly the holiday video) & it works soooo well! I'm using tretinoin also & struggling with 2 areas on my skin & the sponge gives me a much better application of my foundation, which at the moment is the new Stila Hide & Chic.

Thanks for another honest review. I'm not a fan of Max Factor either. I haven't used anything recently but I did occasionally use it in my early twenties and wasn't impressed.
I have been using this foundation for years! and I have to totally agree with you on the sponge!! I have noticed sometimes when I have used certain creams on my skin when I did my skincare that the foundation started to almost curdle on areas where I had used specific creams before. This is very odd and strange and for me, whenever this occur I have had to restart the process with cleaning everything off again. It sure is temperamental but I do love it still. I would love to know if anyone has something similar but better foundation alternatives?
Might you consider filming a no lead, no talc, no bad ingredients for foundation, eyeshadow, LIPSTICK, and mascara? Thanks so much!

This is my favourite foundation but they stopped my shade Nude 047 😭 I’m tempted to try either Warm Almond 045 or Beige 055?!
Hi, hope you can help me solve why my foundation and concealer often look 'scaly' a couple minutes after application. It's particularly severe with my Hourglass stick foundation (looked great when the cosmetic saleswoman applied it. I haven't been able to replicate the look, even with moisturizer and primer. That's an expensive issue.)
Liquid concealer applied under my eyes usually scales, toward the nose. I'm using a peach color corrector (I have brown circles around my eyes.) It happens without the color corrector, too.
It's bloody cold (10 F) and dry here. I'm paying close attention to skin care--a hyaluronic gel moisturizer followed by an emollient cream to lock it in, and waiting until it's no longer tacky. Then using a silicone based primer, letting THAT dry down. What might I be doing wrong? Thank you, Gemma. I adore your channel, especially vids with your mum.

You're so brave Gemma, my skin has gotten so dry I've had to stop using the tretanoin. Even now, without the tret, my skin is still extremely dry 😱. I just don't respond well to winter weather. 🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸

A great primer to use for dry skin is illamasqua hydra veil i use this daily before my foundation and it keeps my skin feeling amazing and looks flawless. U should give it a go 👍
I haven't seen Max Factor in our US store in over a decade🤔I used the 2000 calorie mascara for many years prior..recently I had purchased it online..was not the same LOL..the foundation seems a bit temperamental..even for my oily skin, it would be a pass for me.😊

Now Max Factors Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 was amazing for dry skin and always went on flawlessly, it was the best from MF then they discontinued it and the foundations haven't been great since 🙄

Every once in a while I get one of those foundations that's so putsy to use or apply. I haven't seen this one anywhere near me but since I do have dry skin, I would skip it for sure.
I think the foundation itself is ok. The shade looks a bit light and too cool for you through. Unfortunetly, most drugstore brands don't have a good range or warmer tones, especially in the lighter colour ranges.
I have the same areas of dryness on my face as you. I also use tretonoin from Curology. Does the AHA from The Ordinary help you with the flakiness?
You need to let the dryness go by itself. Adding AHA on top will make the issue worse xxx

Your brush side you applied almost double the amount then you did on the sponge side.
I had the same experience, it is so temperamental! Yesterday it worked perfectly find but today it looked so cakey i had to remove and reapply it three times and before it finally looked ok. 😅

Kinda conflicted when I clicked thumbs up to like this video when I didn’t like the product, lol.
Do you feel that you can talk about hair products? So many leave the hair dull and sticky or impossible to not want to shampoo out the very next day. Products like helping to hold a curl, smoothing hair, shines hair.
Also, when you use brushes to apply eye cosmetics, I can’t see the shape of the brush so that I can either use or purchase. Please hold up products, (any and all products) just a midge longer. Thank you and you’re the best out there!❤️

Ive got dry skin and can't get on with any of the Max factor foundations... Or the eyeshadow....or most other things for that matter 😂
Didn’t know they still existed.
This foundation was changed-apparently the first version with the clear cap and without the 'flexi-hold' writtern on,was a big hit and then this one was the newer and disappointing version according to reviewers on their official site. The problem is I found that out the hard way, ordering one from a retailer who had the photo of the previous version on their site but sent me the newer version instead - sighs...
Oh yes max factor no not for me ! My sister swears by pan stick and she loves it but looks great on her but no definitely not for me ! Sorry I have never found anything better than Estée Lauder if I needed too I would save for it ! Getting mature my skin is normal to dry and if my skin feels dry then I would add a drop or two of serum into the foundation but it needs to be very cold outside before I would mix in a serum , but only because I like to protect my skin .
I have dry skin and i HATE this foundation! It smells like pure chemicals and it end up being orange when it's dries out 😣 I tried different ways to apply it and it's always end up looking dry and cakey (even with hydrating primer that i really like). I will never buy this again 😔

To be honest, this is the worst foundation I have ever used. It is stuck on the surface and not really mixing well with my skin. My skin is in general good condition, but I have never had such unpleasant experience with foundation as this one, not sure what went wrong...
