Kind of like when I was a kid just starting out riding 50 years ago. It did not matter what bike you had, because when we were used to walking or bicycles, it was the coolest machine ever. :) First bike just learning how to ride, to getting good and winning some races. Still the same fun. I think the bike needs a top end rebuild. It looks a bit down on power from low compression. Maybe that is why you can kick it by hand and start it. Happy trails man.
