Ohtani intentionally makes outs when there are no runners on base to make the opposing battery think, "Ah, we can get him out again," so they won't intentionally walk him. I can't think of it any other way, lol.
Bill Plaschke is always predicting Championships for all LA teams so he's a drunk homer through and through. But this Dodgers team reminds me of the 1988 team that won with great pitching and timely hitting. Also faced the Mets in NLCS.
A certain amount of self-awareness might be expected of journalists; even a modicum would have spared us Tuesday's story by Dylan Hernandez (the man who marveled at Mookie Betts being "up in his head" about his playoff slump - right after grilling Betts about it for his umpteenth story on the topic). In re Hernandez's recent story, contrary to the author's claim, NO Dodgers fans (aside from those who might be Editors) are interested in what Ohtani has to SAY about his semi-slump (now semi-ended). However, if any had cared to hear useless chatter, the man spoke at length about it, that very day, in a press conference. Had Hernandez been truly concerned about Ohtani's troubles at the plate, he'd simply have left him alone. It wasn't essential for his column that he pry more canned quotes from the slugger. But that is a minor point. Half of Hernandez's story was a tantrum over getting the brush from Ohtani - the same chap Hernandez had convicted in the press before the evidence was in this summer; the one Hernandez proposed was merely "acting" innocent amid the scandal. When Ohtani discovered he'd been robbed, hurt and betrayed by his best friend - causing scandal, public suspicion, personal embarssment, grief, loss, etc. - all Hernandez had to say to the MVP was: "Grow up." Partly the reporter's sudden tough-guy act was compensation for having fawned simp-like over Ohtani in a series of slavering odes on his signing - Hernandez all aquiver at the thought of Ohtani in Dodger Blue. The motive behind his about-face and condemnation amidst the scandal was so transparent even Hernandez should have seen through himself. Tuesday's attack was different, born solely of butt-hurt pettiness - a sniping little hit-job on learning his hero isn't a fan. Since Ohtani won't speak, here is a quote (borrowed): "Physician, heal thyself." Who is it, really, that needs to grow up?
This is a pretty cool channel, I just started watching it, just a suggestion, guys, would you all consider wearing some Dodger Blue? Always a good choice 👍🏻 Let’s go Dodgers 💙❗️
Dylan continues to be a Ohtani hater. I’m glad Ohtani is not speaking to him or LA Times. Unfair article and hit piece on Ohtani. I get it - he wants readership by being sensationalist esp about Ohtani. SMH.
You guys are as bad as dave roberts..Overthinking..The dodgers are in a dog fight with a resilient mets team and you're predicting dodgers in five? Mets win game four and you'll be all doom and gloom..Analysts...
This is fantastic! Been watching since the Padres series. You guys need to keep this up!
I can't believe it took me this long to learn how funny Plaschke is
cold and cranky planschke is hilarious lmao
I want to get beers with that guy. :D
Im really enjoying watching these guys talking about baseball. ⚾️ They have become my go to after each game this post season.
Same, it's become my new routine. :)

Kinda Genius 😂

💯
more of this, such a great format and concept
Stat padding?? Rotfl, Ohtani's HR put the game out of reach for the Mets.
Lots of laughs and great coverage as usual! Stay warm, LA Times sports reporting team!

Jack I’m sorry you have to deal with these two clowns.
Love these videos! Appreciate the insight and the humor
DODGERS are the KINGS of QUEENS

The Dodgers are finally playing in the postseason like they do in the regular season.

But he is cashing in on writing about Ohtani book with another Journalist.
You guys are laughing like this series is over. I hope the Dodgers are taking the more Mets seriously or they will end up like the Padres.
😎💪 LET'S GOOOO DODGERS !! 💙 ⚾️ !!!
Dodgers in 6
In 5. 🎉
You're right. Bullpen folds on game 5, and they take it at LA.
Is there any way to just watch the jack harris parts?
Go Dodgers!!!
Gotta love plachske 😂
Thanks for freezing your Scrohtanis off on our behalf. Good stuff! May your predictions come true.
Always entertaining. But Plaschke is always full glass. Everyone's "done" with a bad loss. Good pitching makes this a series.
Bill’s hilarious
...Bom Bom , Chika Chika 🎶
Win For Vin. Dodgers in 6.
It’s nonsense to have Othani batting first.
We should be able to hit Quintana. He’s not elite at all and way past his prime.
Love seeing Plaschke suffer 😂
You guys are doing that thing again where you sleep on the mets...
Playing the Padres was hellish. This seems easier.
Oh-for-tani 😂
Did we really need the three ball closeup photo? Okay, we did but I don't have to like it.
Mets look cooked
Dylan "Right?" Hernandez. Please choose another word to end your sentences, man.
Plazkee declaring a series over prematurely is as old as he is....zero credibility.
You guys are as bad as dave roberts..Overthinking..The dodgers are in a dog fight with a resilient mets team and you're predicting dodgers in five? Mets win game four and you'll be all doom and gloom..Analysts...
we will see ... Yamamoto is pitching
Dodgers better win with all the money they spent.
Mats have a higher payroll.
Horrible show
Go Dodgers
